What is the JEECUP entrance exam?

The UPJEE (P) stands for Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnic. Conducted annually by the Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP), the JEECUP is the State-level Polytechnic entrance exam for admission to Diploma programmes (Engineering, Pharmacy, Modern Office Management & Secretarial Practice, Fashion Designing, Garment Technology, Library Information Science, post-Diploma courses, and more) across government and private Polytechnic colleges in Uttar Pradesh for the 2026-27 academic year. The JEECUP exam is held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across multiple groups (A to K8), and ranks are used in JEECUP centralised counselling for seat allotment.
