The JEECUP syllabus 2027 depends on your course group. Group A, diploma in engineering, tests Mathematics (50%) and Physics and Chemistry (50%). Other groups test subjects such as Biology, reasoning, English, Hindi and general awareness. The 2027 brochure, expected around January 2027, will confirm each group’s subjects and weightage.

What does the JEECUP 2027 syllabus cover?
Each group has its own subjects, and the brochure gives the share of questions for each. The table follows Table 1 of the 2026 brochure.

You answer only the paper of the group you applied for. If you applied for more than one group, you take a separate test for each.
What is in the JEECUP Group A syllabus?
Group A has two sections of equal weight: Mathematics, and Physics with Chemistry. Since the minimum qualification is Class 10, questions are at Class 10 (high school) level.
The 2022 memory-based paper had Mathematics questions on similar triangles, quadratic equations, arithmetic progressions, surface areas, statistics and trigonometry. Revise these Class 10 areas:
- Mathematics: number systems, polynomials, linear and quadratic equations, arithmetic progressions, triangles, coordinate geometry, trigonometry, areas and volumes, statistics and probability
- Physics: motion, force and laws of motion, work and energy, sound, light, electricity and magnetism
- Chemistry: matter, atoms and molecules, chemical reactions, acids, bases and salts, metals and non-metals, carbon compounds
What is in the Group E (pharmacy) and Group K (lateral entry) syllabus?
Group E, diploma in pharmacy, has two sections of equal weight: Physics and Chemistry in the first, and Biology or Mathematics in the second.
Group K, lateral entry, has a high-school section on Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry worth 40% and an engineering section worth 60%. The engineering section has seven parts of 60 questions each: Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, IT, Printing Technology, and Fashion Design and Garment Technology. ITI pass candidates answer the part of their trade; others pick any one part.
What is the JEECUP 2027 exam pattern and marking scheme?
Every group’s test has 100 multiple-choice questions of 4 marks each, with no negative marking, so attempt every question.

There is no separate chapter-wise syllabus PDF. The group-wise subjects and weightage are printed in Table 1 of the information brochure. The 2027 brochure is not out yet, so the latest (2026) brochure is linked below.

How should you prepare for JEECUP 2027?
- Find your group in Table 1 and spend time on each subject in line with its share of questions.
- For Group A, finish Class 10 NCERT Mathematics and Science first; most questions test these basics.
- For groups C, D, G and H, practise reasoning daily and read the news for general awareness.
- Solve JEECUP previous year papers under a 2 hour 30 minute time limit.
- Take the official mock test on the portal before the exam to get used to the screen.
