KMAT Kerala is conducted by the University of Kerala on behalf of all the Universities in Kerala under the supervision of Admission Supervisory Committee. The entrance examination is held for candidates seeking admission to various MBA courses in 10 districts in Kerala. The online applications are invited from the candidates for admission to various University/Departments, Management Colleges including Autonomous Management Colleges of Kerala. Admission on the basis of KMAT Kerala is done twice a year for its sessions, ie., once in Feb and the other in July. The Selection for KMAT Kerala is based on a three-step admission procedure. Students have to first give the KMAT Entrance test, then there will be a round of Group Discussion (GD) and then Personal Interview (PI). Candidates are required to go through the important dates and events regarding ‘KMAT Kerala’. Candidates have to carefully fill the application form so that admit card can be obtained by the students easily and for that the payment of the fees for the application form should be done carefully on time. KMAT- Kerala Management Admission Test is held for admission into its MBA programme as offered in various Government and Private MBA Institutes in the state of Kerala.
Candidates willing to pursue a career in the field of Business Management can readily apply for the KMAT Kerala examination. Candidates are to understand that before applying for the KMAT Kerala they must ensure their eligibility as per the norms of the conducting body. The candidates are to have the following educational qualification for the concerned course as given below.
- Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in any Discipline with the required aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates who are going to appear for the final year are also eligible to apply.
KMAT Kerala examination is an offline based examination. The duration of the examination is 180 minutes whereas the language of examination is in English. The paper consists of Objective Multiple Choice Questions carrying total marks of 720. The marking scheme is as such that for every correct answer 4 marks are allotted. Candidates must note that there is no negative marking for KMAT Kerala.
The candidates are selected on the basis of the marks and rank obtained by them in all the three stages i.e. Entrance Examination, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates who qualify the entrance examination are called for GD/PI. The final selection of the qualified candidates is based on their marks and rank obtained in the examination along with the number of the available seats for the concerned courses. The ratio of all the three stages is to be 80:10:10 in the admission process.
