The Selection for KMAT Kerala is based on a three-step admission procedure. Students have to first give the KMAT Entrance test, then there will be a round of Group Discussion (GD) and then Personal Interview (PI). KMAT- Kerala Management Admission Test is held for admission into its MBA programme as offered in various MBA Institutes in the state of Kerala.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates willing to pursue a career in the field of Business Management can readily apply for the KMAT Kerala examination. Candidates are to understand that before applying for the KMAT Kerala they must ensure their eligibility as per the norms of the conducting body. The candidates are to have the following educational qualification for the concerned course as given below.
- Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in any Discipline with the required aggregate marks in the qualifying examination.
- Candidates who are going to appear for the final year are also eligible to apply.
Exam Pattern
KMAT Kerala examination is an offline based examination. The duration of the exam is 02 hours and 30 minutes. The test will consist of MCQ type questions divided into 04 sections namely Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Sufficiency and Logical Reasoning, and General Knowledge and Contemporary Business Scenario The paper consists of Objective Multiple Choice Questions carrying total marks of 720. The marking scheme is as such that for every correct answer 4 marks are allotted.
Selection Procedure
The candidates are selected on the basis of the marks and rank obtained by them in all the three stages i.e. Entrance Examination, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. Candidates who qualify the entrance examination are called for GD/PI. The final selection of the qualified candidates is based on their marks and rank obtained in the examination along with the number of the available seats for the concerned courses. The ratio of all the three stages is to be 80:10:10 in the admission process.
