The MAH MBA CET stands for Maharashtra MBA Common Entrance Test. The State Common Entrance Test Cell (State CET Cell), Government of Maharashtra, conducts this exam every year for admission to two-year MBA and MMS programmes for the academic year 2026-27. The MAH MBA CET 2026 score is accepted by hundreds of business schools and management institutes across Maharashtra, including government and government-aided institutes, university-managed institutes, and unaided private colleges. Application Form
The application window for MAH MBA CET 2026 opened on 10 January 2026 and closed on 25 February 2026 after one extension from the original last date of 20 February. Eligible candidates registered online at the State CET Cell candidate portal, generated their APAAR ID via DigiLocker, filled in personal, academic, and category details, uploaded a recent photograph and signature, and paid the application fee online. The application fee was Rs. 1,500 for the Open category and lower for reserved-category Maharashtra candidates. The State CET Cell released the session 1 admit card on 2 April 2026 and the session 2 admit card in the first week of May 2026 at cetcell.mahacet.org. Registered candidates logged in with their application number and password to download the hall ticket carrying the roll number, exam centre, reporting time, photograph, and signature. The MAH MBA CET 2026 session 1 answer key was released on 2 May 2026, with an objection window from 2 to 4 May 2026. The session 2 answer key was released on 19 May 2026 with an objection window from 19 to 21 May 2026. The MAH MBA CET 2026 result is expected around 28 May 2026 at cetcell.mahacet.org. The State CET Cell normalises scores across sessions and shifts because the exam was conducted in multiple slots with different question papers, and the percentile is computed up to seven decimal places to minimise ties. For candidates who appeared in both session 1 and session 2, the better of the two percentile scores is used for the merit list. CAP Counselling
Admissions on the basis of MAH MBA CET 2026 are conducted through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) managed by the State CET Cell. The counselling is expected to start in June 2026 and runs in multiple rounds. Qualified candidates must register on the CAP portal, upload original documents for verification, pay the participation fee, and fill in college and course preferences. Seats are allotted based on merit rank, category, and choice order. Maharashtra State candidates and All India Seats candidates (other states) participate in the same CAP rounds with different seat quotas.
