The NEET PG Answer Key 2026 will be discussed after the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) conducts the postgraduate medical entrance test on 30 August 2026. NBEMS does not officially release a public answer key or a candidate response sheet for the exam. However, coaching institutes and subject experts publish memory-based solutions soon after the test. Candidates can use these unofficial keys to estimate scores while waiting for the result. For complete exam details, visit the NEET PG 2026 page.

Latest: NEET PG 2026 will be held on 30 August 2026. Memory-based answer keys are expected to appear from coaching institutes within hours of the exam. NBEMS will declare the official result within a month of the test at natboard.edu.in.

NEET PG Answer Key 2026

What is the NEET PG Answer Key 2026? It is a document listing the correct responses to all 200 questions of the postgraduate medical entrance test. Although NBEMS does not officially publish an answer key or response sheet, several leading coaching institutes such as DAMS, Marrow, PrepLadder, Aakash and DBMCI release memory-based versions on the day of the exam. Candidates can match their answers against these keys to calculate probable scores. The unofficial keys also help in analysing performance subject-wise before the result. Note that since NBEMS does not release a response sheet, candidates cannot track their marked answers officially.

How to Calculate Probable Score Using Memory-Based Key

Candidates can estimate their probable score by following these steps. The calculation should use the official marking scheme: +4 for correct and -1 for incorrect answers.

  1. Gather the memory-based answer keys released by trusted coaching institutes after the exam.
  2. Recall and note down the responses marked during the test.
  3. Compare each marked answer with the suggested correct option from the key.
  4. Count the number of correct, incorrect and unattempted questions.
  5. Apply the formula: (Correct answers × 4) − (Incorrect answers × 1).
  6. The result gives the estimated probable score out of 800.

Marking Scheme for Score Calculation

The marking scheme is uniform for all 200 questions. Unattempted questions carry no penalty.

Why NBEMS Does Not Release Official Answer Key or Response Sheet

NBEMS has consistently followed a policy of not publishing the official answer key or individual candidate response sheets for the postgraduate medical entrance examination. The Board also does not release the question paper officially. Instead, NBEMS provides raw scores, percentile rank and category-wise cut-off through the scorecard. Therefore, candidates rely on coaching institutes for question paper analysis and memory-based solutions. Expert faculty discuss tough questions and provide reasoning for answers to help aspirants understand the pattern and anticipate their rank.

Memory-Based Answer Keys by Coaching Institutes

Several trusted coaching platforms publish memory-based solutions for the exam. Candidates can cross-verify answers across multiple sources for accuracy.

  • DAMS: Delhi Academy of Medical Sciences publishes a detailed question paper analysis with answers.
  • Marrow: Releases a live answer key discussion the same evening as the exam.
  • PrepLadder: Offers question-wise solutions and difficulty level analysis.
  • DBMCI: Posts a section-wise key with explanations from senior faculty.
  • Aakash: Provides subject-wise expected cut-off and key analysis.

Qualifying Percentile After Result

After estimating the probable score, candidates can predict their qualifying status using percentile cut-offs. The qualifying percentile depends on the candidate’s category and is prescribed by NBEMS.
