Today’s UG test is a 2-hour computer-based paper of 200 one-mark questions in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology, so solve the science sections of the 2018 and 2019 papers for the test expected in June or July 2027.

How the OUAT UG Paper Changed (2018–2026)
- 2018 and 2019: a pen-and-paper OMR booklet of 200 questions in 2 hours: Mental Aptitude 50, Physics 50, Chemistry 50 and Mathematics or Biology 50.
- Now (2026-27 prospectus): a computer-based test with no Mental Aptitude section. The 200 questions are Physics 66, Chemistry 66 and Mathematics or Biology 68.
- Using the old papers: skip the 50 Mental Aptitude questions and time the 150 science questions at the current pace of 36 seconds each, about 90 minutes.
How to Use OUAT Previous Year Papers?
- Train for 36 seconds a question. OUAT gives 2 hours for 200 questions, one of the fastest paces of any state entrance. Practise quick recall of formulas and facts, and keep long working for the few questions that need it.
- Answer every question. A wrong answer costs nothing, so leave no question blank, even in the last minutes.
- Use the 2018 and 2019 science sections. They are the only UG booklets here. They have no answer key, so check your answers against your +2 textbooks (NCERT or CHSE Odisha).
- M.Sc aspirants: use the 2022 PG paper. It is memory based, with the correct option ticked, and covers agronomy, horticulture, extension and agricultural economics. About eight months remain before the 2027 test.

How many questions are there in the OUAT UG exam?
200 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks in 2 hours: Physics 66, Chemistry 66 and Mathematics or Biology 68.
Is there negative marking in OUAT?
No. Each question carries 1 mark and a wrong answer costs nothing, so attempt every question.
Does the OUAT paper still have Mental Aptitude?
No. The 2018 and 2019 papers began with 50 Mental Aptitude questions, but the current pattern has only Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology.
Do the OUAT papers have answer keys?
The 2018 and 2019 UG papers have no key. The 2022 PG paper has the correct options ticked, and the 2026 page has OUAT’s UG and PG keys issued in response to objections, without the question papers.
Is there an OUAT PG previous year question paper?
Yes. The 2022 paper here is a memory-based M.Sc Agriculture (PG) paper with the correct option ticked for each question, and the 2026 page has OUAT’s PG answer key. The 2022 UG paper is not available.
Is OUAT held in Odia?
No. The OUAT entrance is in English only.
When is OUAT 2027?
