OUAT 2027 is the UG common entrance exam of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar, for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Community Science, B.V.Sc. & A.H., B.F.Sc. and B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering). It is a 2-hour computer-based test. Dates are not out yet; the form is expected in April 2027.

OUAT 2027 Important Dates
OUAT has not announced the 2027 schedule, so the dates below are expected months based on 2026, when the form opened on 17 April 2026 and the exam, first set for 9 to 11 June, was held on 1 and 2 July 2026.

How to Apply for OUAT 2027
You apply for OUAT 2027 online in two parts, Form-A and Form-B, at ouat-lokaseba-odisha.in or through the admission section of ouat.ac.in. Form-A registers you for the exam. Form-B, filled later with your Class 10 and +2 marks, is compulsory: without it no rank is made, even if you sit the exam.
Apply Online for OUAT 2027
Applications for OUAT 2027 are expected in April 2027.
- Go to ouat-lokaseba-odisha.in and log in with your email ID, mobile number and the two OTPs sent to them.
- Click Apply and fill Form-A: personal details, optional subject (Mathematics or Biology) and three exam cities in order of preference.
- Upload a colour photograph (200 x 150 px) and your full signature (100 x 150 px), each in JPG under 200 KB.
- Pay the Rs 2,000 application fee online by net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI, and download Form-A.
- When the Form-B window opens, log in again and enter the total and secured marks of every Class 10 and +2 subject, including additional and extra optional subjects.
- Submit Form-B and keep a printout; you must bring it to counselling.

The application fee is not refunded. You can edit Form-A, including your exam cities and optional subject, only until its last date, so check both before it closes.
Who can apply for OUAT 2027?
You can apply if you have passed or are appearing in +2 Science or an equivalent exam with the subjects your course needs, and you meet the Odisha residence rule. These are the rules in the 2026-27 prospectus, the latest official one.
- Marks: at least 50% aggregate in +2 Science, including extra optional subjects; 40% for SC, ST, PwD and some J&K quota candidates.
- Subjects: PCM or PCB for Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry and Community Science; PCB for B.F.Sc.; PCB or Physics, Chemistry and Biotechnology for B.V.Sc. & A.H.; PCM for B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering).
- Age: at least 17 years by 31 December of the admission year (for 2026 you had to be born on or before 31 December 2009).
- Residence: you studied Odia as MIL in Class 10 in Odisha, or your parents are permanent residents of Odisha, or a parent serves the Odisha government, the central government, a PSU or a university in Odisha.
- Appearing students can take the exam but must have the qualifying marks at admission.
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry needs a physical fitness certificate, with a minimum height of 163 cm for men and 150 cm for women (152 cm and 145 cm for ST).
If you join Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry or Community Science without Mathematics or Biology in +2, you take a make-up course in that subject in the first two semesters.
Which courses and seats are offered through OUAT?
OUAT fills 725 seats in nine colleges through this exam, as per the 2026-27 prospectus. About 38% are cost sharing seats with a higher fee.

Seats are reserved as follows: ICAR 20% (VCI 15% in B.V.Sc.), SC 8%, ST 12%, Green Card Holder children 5%, PwD 5% and wards of armed forces personnel 3%.
What is the OUAT 2027 exam pattern?
OUAT is a 2-hour computer-based test of 200 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks, in English only. Each correct answer gets 1 mark and there is no negative marking. Physics and Chemistry are compulsory; you choose Mathematics or Biology in Form-A.

The test runs in several shifts at 25 centres, 24 across Odisha and one in New Delhi. You report 2 hours before your slot. Topics are on the OUAT syllabus page.
How is the OUAT rank calculated?
Your OUAT rank comes from a weighted score, not the entrance marks alone. Your raw marks are first turned into a percentile within your shift, so harder and easier shifts are treated equally.

For example, 80% in Class 10, 70% in PCM and a 90.456 percentile give 0.25 x 80 + 0.25 x 70 + 0.5 x 90.456 = 82.728. Ties go to the higher percentile, then +2 marks, then Class 10 marks, then the older candidate.
