You apply online through the PERA CET application form linked from peraindia.in. The 2027 form is not open yet; in 2026 it was open from 10 June to 23 August. The email ID and mobile number you register with become your login for the admit card and the result, so use ones you will keep.

Who can apply for PERA CET 2027?
PERA does not publish one common eligibility rule; each member university sets the minimum qualification and marks for its programme. In general:
- UG programmes (B.Tech, B.Pharm, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, B.Des, BFA, BA-LLB and others): Class 12 in the subjects the programme needs, such as Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for B.Tech.
- PG programmes (MBA, MCA, M.Tech, M.Pharm, LLM, M.Ed and others): a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject.
- Check the programme page of the member university before you apply, because minimum marks differ by university.
What is the PERA CET 2027 exam pattern?
Each programme has its own multiple-choice paper of 2 hours, with no negative marking. The table follows PERA’s current guidelines, published for the 2026 test.

- UG papers are based on the Class 12 syllabus of the relevant subjects; PG papers on the degree-level syllabus.
- B.Tech Bioengineering, Food Technology and B.Pharm are listed under both the PCM and the PCB papers.
- There is no negative marking in any PERA CET paper.
- PERA does not share the answer key or a solved answer sheet after the test.
What topics does the PERA CET syllabus cover?
PERA publishes short topic lists for the main papers. The key topics are:
- Mathematics: vectors, 3D geometry, matrices and determinants, sequences and series, conic sections, limits, derivatives, definite integrals, probability, complex numbers.
- Physics: kinematics, rotation, gravitation, thermodynamics, electrostatics, current electricity, magnetism, electromagnetic induction, AC, ray and wave optics, semiconductors.
- Chemistry: atomic structure, chemical bonding, thermodynamics, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, p and d block elements, coordination compounds, organic chemistry.
- Biology: inheritance and genetics, biotechnology, human health and disease, reproduction, photosynthesis, respiration, ecology.
- B.Ed: reasoning such as series, syllogism, coding-decoding, analogies and classification.
- MBA: logical and abstract reasoning, verbal ability and reading comprehension, quantitative aptitude. MCA: basic maths, reasoning, English and computer subjects (C and C++, data structures, DBMS, operating systems, web technology).
What do you need to take the PERA CET online test from home?
PERA CET is an online proctored test that you take from home, so your own setup must meet PERA’s requirements. Its 2026 instructions asked for:
- A desktop PC or laptop with a working webcam; the test cannot be taken on a smartphone.
- Windows, the latest Google Chrome browser and a good internet connection.
- One attempt at the mandatory mock exam (25 MCQs, 30 minutes) to check the software and hardware before the real test.
