PGDBA 2027 is the admission test for the two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics, offered jointly by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta. The 2027-29 batch notice is not out yet. Going by 2026, applications should open in January 2027 and the computer-based test should be held in March 2027.

How to Apply for PGDBA 2027
You apply online only, through the link on the official PGDBA admission website. The organising institute changes from year to year: IIM Calcutta ran the 2025 admission and ISI Kolkata ran 2026, so check which website hosts the 2027 form when it opens.
Apply Online for PGDBA 2027
Applications for PGDBA 2027 are expected in January 2027.
- Register as a new user with your name, date of birth, email ID and mobile number, then verify the OTP and captcha.
- Log in with your registered email ID and the OTP sent to your mobile and email.
- Fill in personal, category, contact and family details, your photo ID, a preferred test city and interview city, academic record, work experience and career goals (up to 100 words).
- Upload your photograph, signature, photo ID and any category or PwBD certificate as JPG or PNG files of 50 KB to 200 KB.
- Pay the application fee online and download the PDF of your submitted form.

The 2026 fee table charged EWS candidates Rs 2,500, while the official FAQ page listed EWS with the Rs 1,250 group, so confirm the EWS fee in the 2027 notice. The 2026 tentative list had 25 test cities, including New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune.
Who can apply for PGDBA 2027?
You need a graduate or postgraduate degree on a four-year or longer pattern with at least 60% marks or CGPA 6.5; these are the 2026 rules and are expected to continue for 2027.
- A degree on a 10+2+4, 10+2+5 or 10+2+3+2 pattern, such as B.Tech, B.E., M.Sc. or M.Com, with at least 60% or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale.
- Also eligible: a B.E. or B.Tech after an engineering diploma (lateral entry), a 4-year B.Sc., or a qualified CA, CS, ICWA or CMA with 60% (intermediate and final together).
- SC, ST and PwBD candidates need 55% or CGPA 6.0.
- A 3-year bachelor’s degree on its own is not in the eligible list.
- CGPA is not converted into a percentage; a CGPA on another scale is judged by its 10-point equivalent.
- Final-year students can apply. In 2026 they had to finish the degree by 30 June 2026 and submit the final mark sheet by 30 November 2026.
- A foreign degree needs an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities.
What is the PGDBA 2027 exam pattern?
PGDBA is a 3-hour computer-based test of 50 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks, split into four areas as below (2026 pattern).

Each correct answer gets 3 marks, each wrong answer loses 1 mark and an unattempted question gets 0. Every question has only one correct answer. Topics are listed on the PGDBA syllabus page.
How are candidates selected for PGDBA?
Selection has two steps: the CBT score decides who is called for a personal interview, and a 100-point final score decides the offers.

- Women and transgender candidates get 2 extra marks on the test score for the interview shortlist only, not for final selection.
- Work experience counts only after the qualifying degree. In 2026 it was counted up to 31 December 2025, and internships and unpaid work did not count.
- In 2026 interviews were held on 2 and 3 May 2026 in Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi.
- Seats follow the Government of India reservation rules for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS and PwBD.
What is the PGDBA programme and how much does it cost?
PGDBA is a two-year, fully residential diploma in which students spend about six months each at ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta, plus a six-month analytics internship at a company.

The fee covers tuition, on-campus lodging, some books and study material and lab charges, but not food, caution money or travel during the fourth-semester industry stay. Merit-cum-means scholarships are offered, and banks recognise PGDBA for education loans.
