PU BA / B.Com LLB previous year question papers for the 5-year UGLAW entrance, from 2015, 2017 to 2019 and 2021 to 2026, are free to download here, ten Panjab University UGLAW papers with the official answer key for every year from 2017. The test has 100 questions for 100 marks in 90 minutes with a quarter mark cut for a wrong answer, and since 2026 Law and GK get 40 questions each, so the 2026 paper is the closest match to the test expected in April 2027.

How the PU BA / B.Com LLB Paper Changed (2023–2026)
- 2023: the prospectus split the 100 questions as General Knowledge and Current Affairs 60, Aptitude for Law 20, Mental Ability 10 and English 10.
- 2026: Law rose to 40 questions (Q1–40) and GK fell to 40 (Q41–80), with Reasoning 10 and English 10. The 100 questions, 90 minutes and −1/4 marking stayed.
- Using older papers: the 2023 and earlier papers are heavy on GK. Use them for GK and English practice, and the 2026 paper for the full Law section.
How to Use PU BA / B.Com LLB Previous Year Papers?
- Finish in 90 minutes. 100 questions in 90 minutes is 54 seconds each. GK questions take a few seconds, so bank that time for the Law and Reasoning questions.
- Guess only when you can narrow it down. Each wrong answer costs 1/4 mark. Leave a question blank if you have no idea, and attempt it once you can cut the choices.
- Score with the final key. From 2023 the year pages have the revised answers after objections. In 2026 six questions were withdrawn and four answers changed, so the first key alone can mislead you.
- Solve 2026 first, then 2025 and 2024, for the current Law-heavy split. The 2015 to 2022 papers are good extra practice for GK and English.
- Plan for April 2027. About six months remain, and the prospectus is expected in March 2027. Your test score is half your merit, so every mark counts.

How many questions are there in the PU BA / B.Com LLB entrance test?
100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks in 90 minutes. In 2026 they were Law 40, GK and Current Affairs 40, Reasoning 10 and English 10.
Is there negative marking in PU UGLAW?
Yes. A correct answer gets 1 mark, a wrong answer loses 1/4 mark, and a blank gets zero.
Which years have PU BA / B.Com LLB answer keys?
Every year from 2017 has Panjab University’s answer key. 2023 to 2026 also have the revised answers issued after objections. The 2015 paper has no key, and there is no 2016 or 2020 paper.
Were any questions withdrawn in recent PU UGLAW keys?
Yes. In 2025 questions 6, 24, 33, 67 and 76 were withdrawn with credit to all. In 2026 questions 24, 47, 65, 67, 68 and 69 were withdrawn, and the answers to 25, 32, 59 and 62 were changed.
In which language is the PU BA / B.Com LLB paper?
Questions are in English, Hindi and Punjabi, except the English section, which is in English only. Classes at UILS are taught only in English.
How is the PU BA / B.Com LLB merit list made?
50% comes from your test marks and 50% from your Class 12 percentage, plus any allowed weightage. You need at least 15% in the test (10% for SC, ST, BC and PwD) to enter the preliminary merit list.
