The PU BA / B.Com LLB sample paper is the set of official model questions Panjab University prints in its prospectus for the 5-year law entrance. The 2026 prospectus has eight questions, two per section, in English, Hindi and Punjabi. Use them with full past papers to practise for the test expected in April 2027.

Sample Paper 2027 follows the latest official pattern: 100 questions (Law 40, GK 40, Reasoning 10, English 10) in 90 minutes with 1/4 mark cut for a wrong answer, with Hindi and Punjabi versions. It comes with an answer key and a short solution for every question. It is an AglaSem practice paper, not an official paper.

What pattern should a PU BA / B.Com LLB practice paper follow?
Practise to the 2026 pattern: 100 multiple choice questions in 90 minutes, with 40 on Law, 40 on General Knowledge and Current Affairs, 10 on Reasoning and 10 on English. Each correct answer gets 1 mark and each wrong answer loses 1/4 mark.
The 2023 sample used a different split: 60 GK, 20 Aptitude for Law, 10 Mental Ability and 10 English.
How should you use the PU BA / B.Com LLB sample paper?
- Read the PU BA / B.Com LLB syllabus so you know the four sections.
- Try the sample questions to see the style of each section.
- Then sit a full past paper in one 90-minute stretch with a timer.
- Score yourself: +1 for a correct answer and -1/4 for a wrong one.
- Revise the topics behind every question you guessed.
Sample paper or previous year papers: which should you solve?
Solve both. The sample questions are only eight, so most of your practice should come from the PU BA / B.Com LLB previous year question papers, which are full 100-question papers with answer keys.
