What pattern should an HP PAT practice paper follow?
Practise to the official pattern: 150 multiple choice questions in 3 hours, with Mathematics 50, Physics 50, Chemistry 30 and English 20. Each right answer gets 4 marks and each wrong answer loses 1, for a total of 600.
How should you use the HP PAT sample paper?
- Finish the HP PAT syllabus for a subject before you take a full paper.
- Sit the paper in one 3-hour session and mark answers on a printed OMR-style sheet with a blue or black pen.
- Score it: +4 for each right answer and -1 for each wrong answer.
- List the chapters where you lost marks and revise them before the next attempt.
