What is the HP PAT 2027 Mathematics syllabus?
Mathematics has 50 questions from the 14 chapters of Class 10 NCERT Maths. The question count for each chapter below is from the 2026 prospectus, which repeats the 2023 syllabus unchanged.

Chemistry has 30 questions, five from each of six Class 10 NCERT topics.

What is the HP PAT 2027 English syllabus?
English has 20 questions on Class 10 NCERT grammar, five from each group below. There is no literature section.
- Active and passive voice, avoiding repetition, comparisons, conditionals, connectors, modals, nominalisation (5 questions).
- Non-finites, prepositions, relatives, reported speech, subject-verb agreement, articles, determiners (5 questions).
- Countable and uncountable nouns, detecting and correcting errors, dialogue completion, fill in the blanks, rearranging jumbled words or phrases (5 questions).
- Future time reference, present continuous, present perfect versus simple past, simple past versus past perfect (5 questions).
What is the HP PAT 2027 marking scheme?
Every question carries 4 marks and a wrong answer costs 1 mark, so the 150-question paper is out of 600. The test lasts 3 hours and is answered on an OMR sheet.

Where can you download the HP PAT syllabus PDF?
The official syllabus is Appendix-II of the PAT prospectus on hptechboard.com. The PAT-2026 prospectus is the latest; the 2027 one is expected in April 2027. AglaSem also has the same syllabus as a free HP PAT syllabus PDF (from the 2023 prospectus).
How should you prepare for HP PAT 2027?
- Study the Class 10 NCERT Maths and Science books first; every question comes from these chapters.
- Give Light and Electricity extra time: together they make 35 of the 50 Physics questions.
- In Maths, Arithmetic Progressions and Areas Related to Circles carry 5 questions each.
- Practise English grammar exercises daily; the section has no reading passages in the syllabus.
- Answer only when fairly sure, since each wrong answer takes away 1 mark.
After each subject, test yourself on the HP PAT previous year question papers under a 3-hour timer.
