Panjab University Lateral Engineering Entrance Test (PULEET) 2026

PULEET – Panjab University Lateral Engineering Entrance Test – is the gateway for diploma engineering holders and eligible B.Sc graduates to join the 2nd year of a 4-year B.E. programme at top engineering institutes in Chandigarh and Hoshiarpur. Organised annually by Panjab University, Chandigarh, the exam is a 100-question MCQ paper of 100 marks conducted over 1 hour 40 minutes with negative marking of ¼ per wrong answer. The test is conducted in offline (OMR-based) mode at centres in Chandigarh and Hoshiarpur (if enrolment exceeds 50). Qualifying candidates are admitted through centralised counselling based on merit, branch preference and category-wise reservation as per Panjab University and Chandigarh Administration norms.

Application Form

The PULEET 2026 application window has closed. Registration closed on 26 May 2026, fee payment by 29 May 2026 and form completion by 01 June 2026. Candidates who paid the fee but did not complete the form may do so by paying a late fee of Rs. 500 by 11 June 2026. Key details for reference:

  • Mode: Online only at puleet.puchd.ac.in
  • Registration Fee (General): Rs. 2,850 (non-refundable)
  • Registration Fee (SC/ST/PwD): Rs. 1,425 (non-refundable)
  • Documents Required: Photograph, signature, Class 10/12 mark sheets, diploma/B.Sc certificates, category certificate (if applicable)
  • Exam Centres: Chandigarh; Hoshiarpur (if candidates exceed 50)

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy academic eligibility before applying for PULEET. The two qualifying routes are:

  • Diploma Holders: 3-year Diploma in Engineering / Technology from a recognised state board or institute in the relevant branch, with minimum 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/PwD as per PU norms).
  • B.Sc Graduates: B.Sc degree with Mathematics as a compulsory subject from a recognised university for select B.E. branches as specified in the PULEET 2026 prospectus.
  • Appearing Candidates: Final-year diploma or B.Sc candidates may apply provisionally and must produce the qualifying certificate at the time of admission.

Admit Card

The PULEET Admit Card 2026 is available for download at puleet.puchd.ac.in from 05 June 2026. Candidates log in using the application number and password. There is no physical communication – hall ticket is issued online only. The hall ticket is mandatory at the exam centre along with a valid government photo ID. Answer Key and Result

The PULEET 2026 Answer Key will be uploaded on 14 June 2026 (same day as exam) at exams.puchd.ac.in. Objections may be submitted by email to [email protected] by 16 June 2026. The PULEET Result 2026 is tentatively declared on 30 June 2026 at puleet.puchd.ac.in and results.puchd.ac.in. Qualifying candidates proceed to counselling in July 2026.
