PU MET 2027 is the Management Entrance Test that Panjab University, Chandigarh holds for admission to eight sectoral MBA programmes at its University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS). It is a two-hour offline test held only in Chandigarh. Dates are not out yet; the prospectus is expected in December 2026 and the test in April 2027.

How to Apply for PU MET 2027
You apply for PU MET 2027 online at met.puchd.ac.in, where the prospectus and form are expected in December 2026. One form covers all the MBA programmes at UIAMS. The steps and fee below follow the 2026 cycle.
Apply Online for PU MET 2027
Applications for PU MET 2027 are expected in December 2026.
- Read the prospectus on met.puchd.ac.in and check your eligibility for each programme you want.
- Register online and note the login ID and password. They are also sent to your registered email.
- Log in and pay the entrance test fee online.
- Upload your photograph and signature, then complete the Profile, Categories and Academic Qualification sections and lock each one. A locked section cannot be changed.
- Print the completed form and send it, with any category certificates, to the Assistant Registrar, UIAMS, South Campus, Sector-25, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 by registered post, speed post or by hand before the deadline. In 2026 the deadline was 10 April, 4 PM.

The fee is not refunded. Incomplete forms, and forms whose printout does not reach UIAMS on time, are rejected and no roll number is issued.
How to log in to the PU MET 2027 candidate portal?
The PU MET login on met.puchd.ac.in is where you pay the entrance test fee, upload your photo and signature, complete the form, print it and download your admit card (roll number slip). The GD and PI calls, merit list and counselling notices are on the UIAMS noticeboard, not in this login.
- Open the official PU MET website and click Login (If Already Registered). The site still runs the MET-2026 portal; the PU MET 2027 login will open with the new prospectus, expected in December 2026.
- If you are new, register online first. Your login ID and password are shown at registration and are also sent to your registered email ID.
- Enter your Login ID and Password and click Sign In.
- After signing in, pay the fee online, upload your photograph and signature, and complete and lock the Profile, Categories and Academic Qualification sections. Then print the form and send it to UIAMS before the deadline.
- Before the test, log in again with the same ID and password to download your admit card. In 2026 roll numbers were online by 9 April.
Forgot your password? Click Forgot your password? on the login page and enter your name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, mother’s name and Class 10 roll number and board exactly as in your form; any mismatch will not recover it. For fee payment problems, the website asks you to write to [email protected] with your application number, name and date of birth.
Which MBA programmes and seats does PU MET 2027 cover?
PU MET fills 225 regular seats in eight two-year MBA (Sectoral) programmes at UIAMS, plus supernumerary NRI and foreign national seats. Each programme runs over four semesters.

Regular seats follow Panjab University reservation: 55.5% General, 15% SC, 7.5% ST, 5% BC, 5% Sports, 5% Defence, 5% PwD and 2% Freedom Fighter. Extra seats exist for groups such as rural and border area students and the one girl child out of two girl children.
Who can apply for PU MET 2027?
You need a degree with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC, ST, BC and PwD candidates), but the subject of that degree depends on the programme. Final-year students can apply and take the test provisionally.
- Retail, Banking and Insurance, Capital Markets, Infrastructural Management and Business Analytics: a bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline. A final pass in CA, cost accountancy (ICWA) or CS also qualifies.
- IT and Telecommunications Management: B.E. or B.Tech in any branch, a B.Sc with Physics and/or Mathematics, or a BCA.
- Pharmaceutical Management: B.Pharm, MBBS, a B.Sc with a Diploma in Pharmacy, or B.Sc (Medical, Biotechnology or Biochemistry).
- Hospital Management: MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, B.Pharm, B.Sc Nursing or BPT, or B.Sc (Medical, Biotechnology or Biochemistry) or B.Voc (Hospital Management).
- AMIE holders with 50% (after a diploma with 60%) and at least 5 years of research, teaching or professional experience can apply for the general and IT programmes.
Final-year students must submit their degree result by the date the university notifies; in 2026 it was 14 August (tentative). These rules are from the 2026 prospectus and are expected to stay the same for 2027.
What is the PU MET 2027 exam pattern?
PU MET is a two-hour OMR test of 120 multiple choice questions for 120 marks, with a quarter mark cut for each wrong answer. This pattern has been used every year from 2021 to 2025 and is expected to continue. The PU MET 2027 syllabus explains what each section covers.

PwD candidates get 20 minutes extra per hour. Practising old papers under a two-hour limit is the best way to get used to the speed this test needs.
How are students selected for MBA at UIAMS after PU MET?
Admission is on a combined merit of the written test (85%), group discussion (7.5%) and personal interview (7.5%).
- UIAMS calls eight times the number of seats in each category for GD and PI, based on MET scores.
- GD and PI are held at UIAMS, Chandigarh, at your own cost. Missing either one cancels your candidature.
- The category-wise merit list is then published on the UIAMS noticeboard and seats are filled through in-person counselling.
