VIT University will announce the VITEEE 2018 Result on vit.ac.in. The result shall be announced in the month of April 2018. VIT University will prepare a merit list on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in VITEEE. The result of VITEEE 2018 will be published online only. However, the rank may be intimated through SMS as well, only if the mobile number is provided. Candidates will also be able to check the result from this page. The candidates who did not qualify VITEEE 2018, will not be eligible for taking admission.
To check the result, you will need to enter the following details:
- Application Number
- Date of Birth
The admission will be done on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in VITEEE 2018. VITEEE 2018 scores will be calculated using Equating Methodology.
What is Equating Methodology?
Equating is used to adjust scores of the candidates, so that scores on the forms can be used interchangeably. Equating methodology is basically used to facilitate meaningful and fair comparison for merit list and ranking of these candidates. Thi procedure is used by VIT to identify the percentile ranks for candidates, such that scores on different forms with the same percentile rank are considered to be equivalent.
How to check VITEEE 2018 Result?
Follow the steps given below to check your result for VITEEE 2018.
Step 1: Visit the official website of Vellore Institute of Technology. You will see the result link for VITEEE 2018 is mentioned in the extreme right corner. Click on that link.
Step 2: The link will navigate you to the result page. You can check your result by entering the Application Number and Date of Birth.
Step 3: Click on “Submit”
Step 4: As soon as you will click on submit button, the result will appear on your screen. You may download and take print out of the result if you wish to.
Scholarships under “GV School Development Programme”
Candidates who will excel in the entrance examination will be given scholarships. However, the candidates need to maintain CGPA of 8.0 or above in the second year if he/she wants to continue the benefit of scholarship. The scholarship will be provided to only those whose performance fall under any of these categories:
|Toppers of each State Board and Central Board||100% tuition fee waiver for all the four years|
|VITEEE rank holders 1 to 50||75% tuition fee waiver for all the four years|
|VITEEE rank holders 51 to 100||50% tuition fee waiver for all the four years|
|VITEEE rank holders 101 to 1000||25% tuition fee waiver for all the four years|
VITEEE 2018 Counselling
The candidates will be shortlisted for counselling All India Rank (AIR) in the VITEEE 2018. Common Selection and Admission procedure will be followed through a single window counselling, but in person. If a candidate fails to appear in person before the Admission Committee for counselling, his/her will be offered to the next candidate. In counselling, to take care of possible absentees the number of qualified candidates is kept more than the number of seats available in VIT University
Selected candidates have to pay an advance payment to confirm their seat and accept the branch allocated. Submit the DD for 50,000 /- in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore. This includes 10,000 /- towards counselling process fee. Counselling process fee is NON-REFUNDABLE, but it will be adjusted in the tuition fees once the candidate joins the University.
Documents to be submitted at the time of Counselling
Candidates need to produce the following documents at the time of counselling. Fail to do so, the candidates will not be allowed to appear for counselling. You will need to produce these documents in original and two photocopies of each.
The list of documents are given below:
- VITEEE-2017 e-Admit Card, Counselling Admit card and VITEEE Result copy
- Class X Board Certificate or Birth Certificate
- Mark sheet of Qualifying Examination (if available)
- Community Certificate (For SC/ST only)
- Nativity Certificate (For candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram,Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura).
- DEMAND DRAFT for 50,000/- drawn in favour of ‘VIT University’, payable at Vellore
- Physical Fitness Certificate.
- 2 sets of photocopies of all original documents. (Except Affidavit & Physical Fitness Certificate)
NOTE: A candidate should decide on whether he/she want to join the programme based on the branch allotted to him / her at the time of counselling before payment of the fees. Allotment of branch & Campus once made is final and will not be changed under any circumstances.
