CLAT 2018 Exam or the Common Law Admission Test 2018 was held on May 13, 2018. The conducting body of CLAT 2018 Exam is National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi, Kerala, India. There will be two sets of eligibility criteria for CLAT 2018. One for Post Graduate programmes and other for the Under Graduate Programme. Candidates must read and understand all the eligibility rules and apply accordingly.

Highlights of CLAT 2018:
- CLAT 2018 will be an Online Examination.
- It is conducted by one of the 19 NLUs. This year the conducting body is National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi, Kerala, India.
- It will provide a list of candidates on the basis of ‘merit-cum- preference’ to each of the Participating University for admission to their Under-Graduate (UG)/Post-Graduate (PG) programmes.
- Candidates will have to go through a counselling process on qualifying CLAT 2018.
- CLAT 2018 PG Score will be used by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited for Recruitment.
CLAT 2018 Application Form
The CLAT 2018 Application Form must be filled and submitted online. The candidates will have to visit the above quick link that says “Application Form” and apply online before the last date. The Candidates need to register themselves by providing the valid details and start the application process.
The CLAT 2018 Application Process will include the following steps:
- Register online
- Log in using the Registration information
- Scan and Upload Photograph and Signature
- Fill the Form
- Upload the scanned copies of the required Certificates
- Pay Fees via the online or offline mode as per convenience

- SC/ST Candidates: Rs. 3500/-
- General Candidates: Rs. 4000/-
Mode of CLAT 2018 Application Fee Payment
- Online: Via Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking
- Offline: Via Challan Generated at the concerned Bank.
CLAT 2018 Exam Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility criteria for appearing in CLAT 2018 Exam will be as follows. The candidates who will not suit any of the following criteria should not apply for the exam. Read below the eligibility criteria:
CLAT Eligibility Criteria for UG Courses:
- Candidates must be the citizen of India. Foreign Nationals are not allowed in CLAT 2018.
- No Upper Age Limit.
- The minimum percentage required in the qualifying exams are:
- 45% marks in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories.
- 40% marks in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) categories
- Candidates who will be appearing in their qualifying examination are also eligible to apply. However, they shall be required to produce any evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
- The Result of the qualifying examination must be available to the candidates at the time of examination. They will be needing to produce it, or else their candidature will be cancelled.
CLAT Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses:
- Candidates must be the citizen of India. Foreign Nationals are not allowed in CLAT 2018.
- No Upper Age Limit.
- The candidates must have the minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (i.e. LL.B./Five-Year Integrated LL.B. (Hons.)/any other equivalent exams) as under:
- 55% marks in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories.
- 50% marks in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) categories.
- The candidate must have passed/appeared in the final semester/final year examination of the qualifying examination on the date of his/her admission.
- In case of candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination, he/she may submit his/her final result of qualifying examination within the time frame prescribed by the respective University/Institute. Till then such candidates may be given provisional admission.
CLAT 2018 Admit Card / Hall Ticket
After the successful completion of the application process, the candidates will have to download their admit card for the CLAT 2018 Exam from the official website itself. You will have to login into your registered account to access the admit card and download it.
The candidates shall take a print-out of the Admit Card/Hall Ticket and carry the same to the Examination Hall. The candidates shall read the instructions on the Admit Card carefully and carry all the requisite documents to the Examination Hall.

CLAT 2018 Answer Key
After the completion of the examination, the conducting body will upload the official answer key on the website. This answer key will contain the correct answer to all the questions asked in the CLAT 2018 Exam. The Candidates will be thus able to cross check their answers marked in the online examination with this answer key and get an estimate of their CLAT 2018 Score. This will help you estimate your position on the merit list and plan for the further admission process accordingly.
Candidates can challege the answer key too, if they feel there is any discrepency or mistake on it. After consideration the final answer key will be uploaded if required.
CLAT 2018 Exam Result and Counselling
http://www.clat.ac.in will be the official website that will host the CLAT 2018 Result. The candidates who will appear in the examination will have to visit the official website as per the result announcement date and check their score. On the basis of the merit cum preference, the participating universities will intake candidates.
Counselling rounds will be conducted via an online centralised counselling process. The candidates will have to exercise their choices and lock them before the last date by paying the counselling fees of Rs. 50,000/-.
