CLAT Answer Key 2027: Date, Objection, Score

The CLAT 2027 answer key will be released by the Consortium of NLUs on consortiumofnlus.ac.in after the exam on 6 December 2026. A provisional key with a short objection window is expected within a few days, followed by a final key with the result. In 2026 the provisional key came three days after the exam.

Latest (22 July 2026): The Consortium has fixed CLAT 2027 for 6 December 2026, 2 to 4 PM. Applications are open until 7 November 2026 (extended).

How to Check the CLAT 2027 Answer Key

Go to consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2027 once the provisional key is announced.
Log in with your registered mobile number and password, or open the answer key notice.
Download the key for your paper (UG or PG) and your question booklet set.
Compare it with the answers you marked, question by question.
Note any answer you think is wrong, with a source, before the objection window closes.

In 2026 the key was published set-wise for question booklets A, B, C and D, so check that you use the key for your own booklet set.

How to Raise an Objection to the CLAT 2027 Answer Key

Log in to your CLAT account during the objection window.
Choose the question and booklet set you want to challenge.
Explain why the answer is wrong and cite an authoritative source.
Pay the objection fee online.
Submit before the deadline. Objections after the window are not accepted.

The fee is charged per objection and will be stated in the 2027 answer key notice. For CLAT 2026 it was announced as Rs 1,000, and reports say it was later reduced to Rs 500. The 2026 window ran from 10 to 12 December 2025, till 5 PM.

What is the difference between the provisional and final CLAT answer key?

Provisional key: released a few days after the exam and open to objections.
Final key: released after experts review all objections. Questions may be corrected or dropped.
Result: prepared only from the final key, and no objections are taken against it.

How to Calculate Your CLAT 2027 Score

Use the final key and the official marking scheme to work out your score out of 120.

Correct answer: +1 mark
Wrong answer: minus 0.25 mark
Unattempted question: 0
Score = (number correct × 1) – (number wrong × 0.25)

Example: if you attempt 100 questions and get 85 right and 15 wrong, your score is 85 – 3.75 = 81.25. Your rank comes with the CLAT 2027 result.

Is there a separate answer key for each booklet set?

Yes. In 2026 the Consortium released the key set-wise for booklets A, B, C and D. Use the key that matches the booklet set printed on your question paper.

Can I object to the final CLAT 2027 answer key?

No. Objections are taken only against the provisional key. The final key is used to prepare the result.

Is there negative marking for unattempted questions in CLAT 2027?

No. Only wrong answers lose 0.25 mark each. Unattempted questions get zero.
