How are AP ECET ranks decided?
Candidates are ranked by their total marks, separately for each branch paper. To get a rank you need 25% of the total, which is 50 out of 200; SC and ST candidates have no minimum. There is no re-totalling or revaluation.
- Ties in engineering are broken by marks in the branch paper, then Mathematics, then Physics.
- For Pharmacy, and for B.Sc after the Mathematics marks, tied candidates share a rank and the older candidate gets preference at admission.
- An integrated merit rank, based on total marks of all engineering diploma holders, is used for B.Tech CSE and IT seats left after CSE and IT diploma holders.
- A rank won through the SC or ST relaxation is cancelled if the category claim is found invalid at admission.
What is the expected AP ECET 2027 cut off?
AP ECET has a qualifying cut off for getting a rank; these are the 2026 figures from the official instruction booklet, and college-wise closing ranks come only during APSCHE counselling.
| Category (2026, official instruction booklet) | Qualifying cut off for a rank |
|---|---|
| OC and BC | 25% of the total: 50 out of 200 |
