How is the AP ICET 2020 Result Calculated?
Candidates can calculate their scores as soon as the answer key is out. Firstly, the preliminary answer key released than the final answer key will be released after accepting objections. For the calculation of marks, the following given marking scheme is considered.
- +1 mark for the correct answers
- 0 mark for the incorrect answers
- 0 mark for the two answers for one question
AP ICET 2020 Merit list
Merit list is prepared on the basis of the scores indicated. Candidates who will score minimum qualifying marks will be declared as qualified and will invite for admission process. AP ICET 2020 Tie – Breaking Criteria
If two or more candidates scores the same number of marks, then, the following tie – breaking criteria will be followed.
- Firstly, the marks in section A is considered
- If there is still a tie, then the marks in section B is taken into consideration
- Finally, the age of the candidates is considered if there is still a tie

Step 2: After coming on the website, click on the link ‘rank card’.
Step 3: Then, a window appears where registration number and hall ticket numebr of ICET has to be entered.

AP ICET 2020 Normalization Methodology
AP ICET 2020 will be conducted in two sessions which are based on syllabus and exam pattern. One candidate can appear only in one session but the question paper will be different for each session. Normalization is used to remove biases among students related to the exam.
There may be a chance that the students compare themselves with variation in difficulty level of the exam. Ranks of the candidates will be decided on the normalization process. Check the procedure given below which is applied to normalise the marks.
- SMS: Average + Standard deviation of the session in which the candidate belong to
- GMS: Average + Standard deviation of all the candidates across all sessions together
- Top Average Session: Average marks of the top 0.1% of the candidate in the session.
- Top Average Global: Average marks of the top 0.1% of all the candidates across all sessions together.
Important notes: If the marks for SC and ST candidates go below zero after normalization than the total marks are treated zero and ranks will be decided on those marks.
AP ICET 2020 Cut off
Cut off is the minimum qualifying marks for a candidate required to qualify the exam. Those candidates who are appearing for AP ICET 2020 are required to minimum qualifying marks to qualify the exam.
