How to Check the ISI Answer Key 2027

You check the answer key and your scanned OMR responses through ISI’s Online Challenge Management System, which is linked from the admission website.

1. Open the ISI admission website and look for the answer key challenge announcement.
2. Open the Online Challenge Management System when it is activated (10:00 AM on 19 May in 2026).
3. Sign in as directed on the challenge page.
4. View the provisional key for your MCQ test code and your recorded OMR responses.
5. Match each answer, noting your booklet set, as the key is given set-wise.
6. After the challenge closes, download the final answer key PDF from the announcements list.

How do you challenge the ISI answer key and OMR response?

ISI runs two separate challenges: one against the provisional answer key and one against how your OMR sheet was read.

• Answer Key Challenge: dispute the official answer to a question with your reasons.
• OMR Response Challenge: dispute a response that was wrongly recorded from your OMR sheet.
• In 2026 both opened at 10:00 AM on 19 May 2026, and the final key was published on 21 May 2026 after ISI reviewed the challenges.
• The window, any fee and the rules for 2027 will be in ISI’s announcement; check the admission website daily after the test.

How do you calculate your ISI 2027 score from the answer key?

The answer key covers only the forenoon MCQ (OMR) tests, so you can estimate only your Test I score with it.

• Test I is marked out of 120 for most programmes (2026 selection policy). ISI’s documents do not publish marks per question or a negative marking rule, so use the marking shown on your question booklet.
• Descriptive tests (Test II) are graded by examiners and are not in the key.
• Test II is graded only for candidates who clear the Test I qualifying score; for B Stat in 2026 that meant roughly the top 550 Test I scorers.
• The final ranking uses a weighted total of both tests and, where held, the interview.
