How should you use ISI sample papers for 2027?
Use them as timed mock tests, starting with recent years, since they are real past ISI tests.
- Finish the topics on the ISI syllabus page first.
- Solve the MCQ paper and the descriptive paper of one year on the same day, two hours each, without a calculator.
- For descriptive papers, write complete proofs and working, then compare with standard solutions.
- List the topics where you lose marks and revise them before the next paper.
- Solve at least the last five years for your test, then go further back.
ISI warns that the current year’s questions may not follow the structure of the sample questions, so prepare every syllabus topic, not just repeated question types.
