JKCET previous year question papers for 2015, 2017, 2018, 2024 and 2025 are free to download here: J&K BOPEE’s Common Entrance Test (Engineering) booklets, with Paper A (Physics and Chemistry) and Paper C (Mathematics) for 2015, plus J&K BOPEE’s answer keys for 2025 and 2026. JKCET is one 3-hour OMR booklet of 180 questions, 60 each in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, with −0.25 for a wrong answer, so the 2025 and 2024 booklets are the closest match to JKCET 2027, expected in April 2027.

How the JKCET Paper Changed (2015–2026)
- 2015: two booklets. Paper A had Physics and Chemistry (120 questions in 2 hours) and Paper C had Mathematics (60 questions in 60 minutes).
- 2017 onwards: one booklet with all 180 questions in a single 3-hour sitting. The 0.25 negative marking stayed the same.
How to Use JKCET Previous Year Papers?
- Keep to a minute a question. 180 questions in 3 hours is 60 seconds each. Mark your OMR as you go so you do not run short of time at the Mathematics end of the booklet.
- Guess when you can cut one option. With −0.25 for a wrong answer, a blind guess among four options still averages about +0.06 marks, and ruling out one option raises that to about +0.17.
- Solve 2025 and 2024 first, since they are the newest 180-question booklets and 2025 has the official key. Then do 2018 and 2017, and use the 2015 papers as two shorter timed tests.
- Check answers from your textbooks. Only the 2025 booklet has a key, so for the others work out each answer from your NCERT Class 11 and 12 books. Optics carries 7 of the 60 Physics marks, so check those questions closely.
- Plan for April 2027. About five and a half months remain. One full booklet a month and topic drills in between keep you on track.

How many questions are there in JKCET?
180 multiple-choice questions, 60 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, for 180 marks in 3 hours.
Is there negative marking in JKCET?
Yes. Each wrong answer costs 0.25 mark, a correct answer earns 1 mark and a blank earns nothing.
Do the JKCET papers have answer keys?
The 2025 booklet has J&K BOPEE’s answer key for all four series; the 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2024 booklets have no key. The 2026 page has the 2026 answer key, but the 2026 question paper is not available yet.
Was JKCET 2015 one paper or two?
Two: Paper A with Physics and Chemistry (120 questions in 2 hours) and Paper C with Mathematics (60 questions in 60 minutes). From 2017 it has been one 180-question booklet.
Is JKCET held online?
No. It is a pen-and-paper test, and you mark answers on an OMR sheet with a blue or black ball point pen.
Is there a JKCET 2016 question paper?
No. The papers here are from 2015, 2017, 2018, 2024 and 2025.
