Assam D.El.Ed PET 2020 Merit List
SCERT Assam releases the merit list district wise on its official website. D.EI.Ed merit list contains the name of the candidate as per their rank. Candidates are eligible for counselling round only if their name reflects in the merit list. Candidates selected for lower primary are not eligible for upper primary and vice versa.

How is Assam D.El.Ed PET 2020 Result Prepared?
Assam DElEd PET result is compiled as per the marking pattern. Candidates are given one (1) mark for every correct answer and 0.25 mark is deducted from the total marks secured by the candidate for each incorrect answer. Candidates can check the distribution of marks from below.

Assam D.El.Ed PET 2020 Selection Criteria
For admission in D.EI.Ed course, first of all, candidates have to appear for Pre-Entry Test (PET). A merit list is prepared to calculate the percentage of marks obtained in PET and percentage of marks obtained in HSSLC/Bachelor degree examination. Candidates are selected based on their rank in the merit list.
SCERT Assam D.El.Ed 2020 Counselling
After the release of the Assam DElEd PET Result, shortlisted candidates are eligible for the counselling round. Counselling is conducted for the verification of the candidate’s eligibility. Candidates have to provide a choice of TEIs for doing the D.El.Ed course. At the time of counselling, selected candidates have to produce the following documents.

Important Instructions for SCERT Assam D.El.Ed PET 2020 Result
An undertaking has to be submitted by the selected candidates to the principals of the concerned TEIs at the time of admission. The undertaking should be submitted along with the signature, full name, date and address. A sample of the undertaking is given below.
“I do here by declared that I have not taken any admission in other courses except 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) Course. The authority may cancel my candidature immediately with disciplinary action if anyone produce evidence of my engagement in any other courses or department in the same academic year”.

About D.El.Ed PET 2020
SCERT Assam conducts an entrance exam for admission in two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course. The exam is held at the state level. Candidates have to fill the application form to appear for the exam. D.El.Ed PET is held in offline mode in which candidates have to solve 100 MCQs in 120 minutes. Admission of the candidate is based on a candidate’s merit in the entrance test.

Ans : Yes, there is negative marking scheme on the given incorrect response, 0.25 mark shall be deducted from the total marks secured by the candidate for correct responses
Ans : Admission to Upper primary course will be in the ratio of 30% for Science graduates and 70% for other Arts/Commerce graduates. Out of the total seats earmarked for the Science graduates, at least 50% will be for graduates with physical sciences and remaining for graduates with biological science.
Ans : The course will be of 2 years’ duration for both the batches, such as one for the Lower primary and the other for the Upper primary course.
