SPA Bhopal Admission 2022 Application Form
Application form are invited from eligible candidates to take admission to SPA Bhopal Admission 2022 for Masters and Doctoral Programme under various specializations of the Architecture and Planning course. The application has been released online –

Application Fee (PG Program) –
Each candidate can apply for a maximum of 2 programmes. An applicant shall apply in only 1 online form either for 01 programme or 02 programmes as per his/her choice:
- If you are applying for two programmes, you have to pay Rs. 4,000/- (UR/OBC-NCL/EWS) or Rs. 2,000/- (SC/ST/PwD).
- If you are applying for 1 programme, you have to pay Rs. 2,000/- (UR/OBC-NCL/EWS) or Rs. 1,000/- (SC/ST/PwD).
- No one is allowed to fill more than 01 form.
Documents Required For PG Program:
- Passport Size photo (jpeg or pdf.)
- Category Certificate (If required, pdf) in Central Govt. format and valid atleast upto the date of commencement of classes i.e. August 2022
- PwD Certificate (If required, pdf) in Central Govt. format
- Consolidated Marksheet of Qualifying Degree (pdf)
- Class 10 Pass Certificate for age proof
- CEED Score Card (pdf)
Note:
- In Case, Final Semester Result is awaited, applicant may upload Mark sheet/ Transcript Till Pre-final Semester. However in such cases, the Consolidated Mark sheet of Qualifying Degree is to be submitted latest by 15h September, 2022. Candidates need to fulfill eligibility criteria in results till pre-final semester at the time of filling the application form.
- All admissions will be provisional, subject to meeting eligibility criteria, after receiving final results.
- Application fees are non-refundable.
SPA Bhopal Admission Procedure 2022
In view of the current scenario of COVID -19 pandemic in the country, NO on-campus examination or interview will be conducted this year.
For all programmes (other than M.Des) there will be Three online tests, namely (i) general objective type questions (MCQ) and (ii) Departmental MCQ, (iii) Departmental descriptive exam (descriptive/ sketching/ drawing/ computations) and Interview.
For M.Des programme (Channel 2), there will be THREE ONLINE tests: (i) general objective type questions (MCQ) (ii) Departmental MCQ and (iii) SPA_DAT (Design Aptitude Test) and Interview.
SPA Bhopal Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for ‘Direct Admission’ are not eligible for scholarships even if the admitted students are GATE/ CEED qualified. Institute Scholarships are available for a maximum of 60% of seats of all programmes provided the candidates are admitted through CCMT channel (GATE qualified) and for M.Des program as indicated in eligibility criteria (CEED qualified & Channel-1).
In the event of any seats remaining vacant through CCMT/ CEED channel-1, SPA Bhopal reserves the right to admit students from among the waitlisted candidates selected through Direct Admission in subsequent rounds.
The course wise eligibility is given below:
Master of Arch. (Urban Design): B. Arch or B. Plan from any institution recognized by SPAB with at least 60% (or 6.5 CGPA) for General /OBC/EWS and 55% (or 6.0 CGPA) in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates in the qualifying examination.
Master of Arch. (Landscape): Minimum of 60% (or 6.5 CGPA) for General/OBC/EWS and 55% (or 6 CPPA) in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates, from any institution recognized by SPA B, in any of the qualifying examinations mentioned below:
- B.Arch. /B. Plan with 1 year experience/B.E./B. Tech (Civil Engineering) with a minimum of 2 years experience
- B.Sc + M.Sc in any of the following: Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Forestry/ Ecology/Botany, Zoology/Geology/Geomorphology.
Master of Arch. (Conservation): Minimum of 60% (or 6.5 CGPA) for General/OBC/EWS and 55% (or 6 CPPA) in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates, from any institution recognized by SPA B, in any of the qualifying examinations mentioned below:
- B.Arch. /B. Plan with 1 year experience / B.E./B. Tech (Civil Engineering) with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Building Conservation.
- M.A in History/ Cultural studies/ Heritage studies/ Anthropology or equivalent.
- M.A/ M. Sc in Museology/ Archeology or equivalent,
- PG Diploma (two years) in Archeology/Museology/ Conservation/ or equivalent, from national institutes/university.
- 5 year integrated Degree in Law with specialization in Heritage Law
Master of Planning (Urban and Regional Planning): Minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (or 6.5 CGPA) for General/ OBC/EWS and 55% marks in aggregate (or 6.0 CGPA) in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates in any of the qualifying examinations mentioned below:

Master of Design: Candidates must possess an undergraduate degree from one of the following category with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (or 6.5 CGPA) for General/ OBC (NCL)/EWS and 55% marks in aggregate (or 6.0 CGPA) in case of SC/ST/PWD:

- The candidates with BFA/MFA Degree and Bachelor of Planning can only opt for Visual Communication as the Minor Specialization.
- The candidates applying for the specific category need to produce the relevant document as per government approved format issued by a competent authority.
- Total one seat is reserved for PwD across all the categories.

PG Courses:
There are a total of 188 seats across all courses specializations and Master of Design, of which a maximum of 113 seats are to be directly filled up through CCMT or on the basis of CEED Score/ Rank and SPA_DAT (Design Aptitude Test & Interview) for Master of Design, while the remaining 75 seats are to be filled through Direct Admission.
