What is the WB ANM GNM 2027 syllabus?
WBJEEB defines the syllabus by school level only. The 2026 bulletin says:
- Life Science, Physical Science and Mathematics: 10th standard syllabi of recognised Boards and Councils in India.
- Basic English, General Knowledge and Logical Reasoning: equivalent to the 12th standard curriculum.
- Physical Science covers both Physics and Chemistry at Class 10 level.
How many questions come from each subject?
Life Science alone carries 50 of the 115 marks, and Life Science and Physical Science together carry 75. This is the 2026 split.

What is the WB ANM GNM 2027 marking scheme?
Category-2 questions appear only in Life Science and Physical Science and can have more than one correct option.

In a Category-2 question, partial marks are 2 multiplied by the correct options you marked, divided by the total correct options. Marking even one wrong option makes it zero.

How to Prepare for the WB ANM GNM 2027 Syllabus
- Start with Class 10 Life Science and Physical Science from your Board’s textbooks; they decide 75 of the 115 marks.
- Practise multi-correct questions for Category-2, and mark only options you are sure of, since one wrong option scores zero.
- Revise Class 10 Mathematics for the 10 maths questions.
- Read an English grammar and comprehension book and follow the news for General Knowledge.
- Solve the 2021 to 2025 papers on the WB ANM GNM question papers page under a 90-minute limit.
- In Category-1, skip guesses you cannot narrow down, because each wrong answer costs a quarter mark.
