WBJEE previous year question papers from 2015 to 2025 are free to download here, with both papers for every year: Paper I (Mathematics) and Paper II (Physics and Chemistry). WBJEEB’s final answer keys are here for 2021 to 2025, and the 2026 page has the final key. The test now has 155 questions for 200 marks in two 2-hour papers, so start with the 2024 and 2025 papers before WBJEE 2027, expected in April or May 2027.

How the WBJEE Paper Changed (2015–2026)
- 2015: the Mathematics paper had 80 questions (Q1 to Q60 for 1 mark, Q61 to Q80 for 2 marks), and Physics & Chemistry had 80 questions, 40 in each subject.
- Current pattern (2026 bulletin): Mathematics has 75 questions (50 in Category 1, 15 in Category 2 and 10 in Category 3), and Physics and Chemistry have 40 each (30, 5 and 5).
- Every year: each paper carries 100 marks for 2 hours, so older papers still work as full timed tests. Drop the extra questions when you score an older Mathematics paper.
How to Use WBJEE Previous Year Papers?
- Write both papers on the same day. WBJEE runs Paper I from 11 AM to 1 PM and Paper II from 2 PM to 4 PM, so practise Mathematics and then Physics & Chemistry with a one-hour break. That is 96 seconds a Mathematics question and 90 seconds a Physics or Chemistry question.
- Guess only where it pays. A wrong Category 1 answer costs 1/4 mark and a wrong Category 2 answer costs 1/2 mark, so guess there only after you rule out an option. Category 3 has no negative marking, so mark every option you are sure of.
- Score 2025 and 2024 first, because they have WBJEEB’s final keys and follow the current category split. The 2021 and 2022 papers also have final keys; use 2015 to 2020 and 2023 for chapter practice.
- Plan for April or May 2027. About six months remain. One full Paper I and Paper II set each fortnight covers the eleven years on this page before the exam.

How many questions are there in WBJEE?
155 multiple-choice questions for 200 marks: 75 in Mathematics (Paper I), and 40 each in Physics and Chemistry (Paper II). Each paper takes 2 hours.
Is there negative marking in WBJEE?
Yes, in two categories. A wrong Category 1 answer loses 1/4 mark and a wrong Category 2 answer loses 1/2 mark. Category 3 questions, which can have more than one correct option, carry no negative marking.
Do I need to write both WBJEE papers?
Yes, for engineering. Paper II alone gives only a Pharmacy rank, and Paper I alone gives no rank.
Which WBJEE papers have answer keys?
WBJEEB’s final keys are on the 2021 to 2025 year pages, and the 2026 page has the final key. The 2015 to 2020 papers are here without a key.
Is the WBJEE 2026 question paper available?
Not yet. The 2026 page has only the final answer key for the 24 May 2026 exam.
Was the WBJEE 2015 paper different?
Yes. The 2015 Mathematics paper had 80 questions against 75 today, and Physics & Chemistry also had 80 questions. Both papers still carried 100 marks for 2 hours.
