WB JECA 2027 (Joint Entrance for admission into MCA course) is the OMR-based entrance test that WBJEEB holds for MCA seats in West Bengal universities and colleges. The 2027 schedule is not out yet. Going by 2026, applications are expected in April 2027 and the exam in June 2027.

WB JECA 2027 Important Dates
WBJEEB has not announced the JECA 2027 schedule, so the dates below are expected months. In 2026 applications ran from 9 to 28 April and the exam was held on 14 June 2026, but the timing can shift: the 2025 exam was held on 19 October 2025.

How to Apply for WB JECA 2027
You apply for JECA 2027 online only, through the WBJEEB website, once the 2027 information bulletin is out. There is no printed form, and you must not submit a second application.
Apply Online for WB JECA 2027
Applications for WB JECA 2027 are expected in April 2027.
- Open the WBJEEB JECA page and click the JECA 2027 registration link when it goes live.
- Register with your name, father’s and mother’s names, date of birth, gender, ID type and number, address, mobile number and email ID. Name, parents’ names, domicile and date of birth cannot be changed later.
- Create a password and note the application number shown on screen. It is also sent to you by SMS and email.
- Fill in the application form (domicile, category, PwD status, nationality and academic details) and choose three exam zones in order of preference.
- Upload a recent colour photograph (JPG, 10 to 200 KB) and your signature (JPG, 4 to 30 KB) in one step.
- Pay the fee online by net banking, card, UPI or QR code and download the confirmation page. Your application is incomplete until this page is generated.
Other details can be corrected only during the correction window, which was 30 April to 1 May in 2026. The fees below are from the 2026 bulletin and notices; WBJEEB will confirm the 2027 amounts in the new bulletin.

Who can apply for WB JECA 2027?
To sit the exam you must be an Indian citizen who has passed, or is appearing in, the final semester of an undergraduate course. Admission rules are stricter and differ by university, as set out in Appendix-9 of the 2026 bulletin:

Honours graduates count marks in the Honours subject only. MAKAUT runs a compulsory bridge course for students with no Mathematics background. You need West Bengal domicile for any seat in a government-aided college and for any reserved seat: 10 years of continuous residence in the state (counted to 31 December 2025 for the 2026 exam), or a parent who is a permanent resident of West Bengal.
What is the WB JECA 2027 exam pattern?
JECA is a single two-hour OMR paper of 100 multiple-choice questions worth 120 marks, in English. The 2026 pattern is below; the same format has been used since 2022, when JECA replaced its separate Mathematics and Aptitude papers.
