The WB JECA 2027 answer key will be a model key that WBJEEB uploads after the exam, open for paid challenges before the final key is fixed. It is expected in July 2027. In 2026 the model key came on 23 July and the final key on 31 July 2026, after the 14 June exam.

How to Check the WB JECA 2027 Answer Key

1. Open the WBJEEB JECA page after WBJEEB posts the model answer key notice.
2. Sign in to the candidate portal with your application number and password.
3. Open the model answer keys and note your booklet series (A, B, C or D).
4. Compare the key with your machine-read OMR responses, which WBJEEB uploads separately.
5. Download and keep both, since they are available only for a short period.

How to View and Challenge Your JECA OMR Responses

WBJEEB uploads an image of your OMR sheet and the machine-read responses after the exam; the bulletin says about a week later, but in 2026 they came on 22 July, with challenges until 24 July 2026.

• Category-I responses are shown as A, B, C or D; Category-II responses as the combination of letters you marked.
• Unattempted questions are shown as a dash.
• If a captured response is wrong, you can claim a review online for Rs 500 per response, in one session.
• Download your OMR copy: it cannot be downloaded after counselling ends.

How to Challenge the WB JECA 2027 Answer Key

You can challenge the model key only online, through the portal, within the notified window. In 2026 the window ran from 23 to 25 July 2026, till 11:59 PM.

1. Sign in and open the answer key challenge option.
2. Select every question you want to challenge, in one session.
3. Pay Rs 500 per question by net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI. The fee is not refunded.
4. WBJEEB reviews the challenges and publishes the final, frozen answer keys.

Challenges by email, letter, fax or phone are not accepted, and WBJEEB’s decision on the final key cannot be appealed.

How to Calculate Your WB JECA 2027 Score

Use your machine-read responses and the final answer key with the marking rules below. The maximum score is 120.

• Category-I (Q1 to Q80): +1 for a correct answer, -1/4 for a wrong answer or more than one option marked, 0 if not attempted.
• Category-II (Q81 to Q100): +2 when you mark all correct options and nothing else.
• Category-II partial: 2 x (correct options marked / total correct options), if you mark no wrong option.
• Category-II with any wrong option marked: 0. There is no negative marking in Category-II.

If you want WBJEEB’s own calculation sheet, you can apply with a Rs 500 bank draft within 60 days of the result or till counselling ends, whichever is later.
