What is the WB JECA 2027 syllabus?
The JECA paper is based on undergraduate computer applications and equivalent courses taught in Indian universities. The 2026 bulletin lists these 10 units:

Is Mathematics part of the JECA syllabus?
No separate Mathematics or Aptitude section exists any more. JECA papers up to 2021 had a 100-mark Mathematics paper and a 50-mark Aptitude paper; since 2022 the exam is a single computer applications paper. Mathematics still matters for admission, since most universities ask for Maths at UG, Class 12 or Class 10 level.
What is the WB JECA 2027 exam pattern and marking scheme?
The 2026 pattern, which has stayed the same since 2022, is below. WBJEEB does not fix a number of questions per unit.

In Category-II, partial marks are 2 x (correct options marked / total correct options), but only if you mark no wrong option.

How to Prepare for the WB JECA 2027 Syllabus
- Start with C programming, data structures, operating systems and DBMS. These are core BCA and B.Sc Computer Science subjects.
- Practise output-prediction questions in C and C++. The 2022 paper opens with a run of C program questions.
- Revise Unix commands and their options by using them in a terminal, not just by reading.
- For Category-II questions, mark only the options you are sure of. A single wrong option gives zero marks for that question.
- Solve the JECA previous year question papers from 2022 to 2025, which follow the current pattern, under a two-hour timer.
