The institution offers graduate and postgraduate courses in the field of medical sciences and other distinctions. It has invited applications for the admission to post graduate courses in Master of science (M.Sc) for the year 2017. AIIMS M.Sc Application Form 2017

A candidate seeking admission to the Entrance Examination is required to submit his/her application in the prescribed format which will be available online with the Prospectus on The cost of Registration Form includes the fee for entrance examination which is non-refundable and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained. The candidate is required to go through the prospectus carefully and acquaint himself/herself with all requirements with regard to filling in of the online Registration form. Direct link to fill the online application form will also be posted on this page.

Application Fee 

The amount of fees towards the application fees differ from ac category. The candidates should check amount they need to pay for the completion of form. If any candidate has paid the amount different from amount candidate has to pay depending upon each category, in such scenario, the application form will not proceed further. When the candidate has successfully completed step I and II, he/she shall be required to required to pay the amount as listed below. Moreover, when the candidate proceeds for payment option, the screen will display the amount according to your category selected. Check the details of the amount category wise.

Admit card for AIIMS M.SC 2017

The Admit card will be issued for the candidates to download from 07 June 2017 onwards. The admit card can be ascertained from the official website The applicants must carry this document along with a identity proof such as Aadhar Card to be on the safe card. The applicants while downloading the admit card must note down carefully all the details printed on the admit card. This document will serve as your entry pass to the hall on the day of examination. It will contain the candidate’s name, venue of the centre, address of the venue.The hall ticket is strictly provisional. Please note that any candidate who visits the exam hall without this ticket may not be allowed to enter the exam premises.

Result for AIIMS M.Sc 2017

The applicants who appear for the exam wait curiously for the exam result. After all this is one of the most important step in the whole admission process. Once the results are announced students can get to know whether they will be able to take the admission in their preferred course or not. Well! Cutoff for AIIMS M.Sc 2017

generally , the cutoffs are announced after the results but in this case, AIIMS has already its cut off criteria for the year 2017 for the admission into M.Sc course. According to the brochure released for the year 2017 admission, As decided by Academic Committee in a meeting held in 2014, the minimum cut-off shall be 50th percentile (for all PG Courses) in the competitive entrance test as a condition of eligibility for all candidates.

Counselling for AIIMS M.Sc 2017

Counselling will be held as per schedule mentioned in the table. Please check the table first if you have not.
For M.Sc courses the applicants will be 8 times the number of seats advertised for various
categories in different courses. The order of counseling will begin from category wise General/ST/SC/OBC. The counseling will be done strictly based on the ranks acquired by the applicants followed by a combined merit list starting from first rank. The candidate in order of merit will be required to exercise their choice of subject according for seats. In case the student is absent on the day of the counselling, the next candidate in merit list will be considered for admission. When the candidate belonging to reserved category is called, he/she will be given an option to choose his/her subject both from unreserved category as well as his/her concerned reserved category. If the candidate chooses a subject which is available in unreserved category, he/she will be given seats only from unreserved category and will be offered the seat as unreserved seat. The candidate shall be given the reserved seats only when he/she has made a choice of the subject available in the reserved category.
If the seats in the unreserved category are completely filled then only reserved category counseling will be done.


The reservation policy in AIIMS New Delhi and other six AIIMS institutes shall be as follows

  • For OBC (Other Backward Classes) category -27 %
  • For SC (Schedule Caste) Category- 15 %
  • For ST (Schedule Tribe) Category- 7.5 %
  • For Physically Handicapped Indian Nationals- 3 %

If requisite number of suitable candidates is not available to fill up the seats reserved for the Scheduled Castes, the same will be filled by candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes and vice-versa

In case suitable candidates are not available from the two reserved categories, the vacant seats will be filled up by the candidates from the general category. In case suitable candidates are also not available in the OBC reserved category, the same will be filled up by the candidates from the general category. For Indian Nationals, 3% reservation for Orthopaedic physically handicapped shall be provided on horizontal basis, in the seats advertised.

Exam Pattern

For M.Sc./M.Biotechnology Courses : The question paper for M.Sc./M. Biotechnology courses will be of 90 minutes duration consisting of 90 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 90 marks in the subject in which the candidates has applied.

For M.Sc. Nursing Courses : The question paper for M.Sc. Nursing courses will be of 90 minutes duration consisting of 90 Multiple Choice Questions(MCQs) carrying 90 marks.

Those candidates who want to avail of the National Medical Library facilities located in the vicinity of the Institute campus will be required to deposit Rs. 50/- extra.


  1. The above fees are subject to revision from time to time by the Institute and the students admitted shall have to pay the fees as may be decided by the Institute.
  2. The fees and other charges including Hostel rent, once paid, shall not be refunded in any case, even if a student leaves the Institute before the completion of semester or does not join the Institute for any reason. No correspondence on this account will be entertained.
  3. The Caution Money will, however, be refunded to those candidates who do not join the course. In case of a student leaving the course in the middle or after the completion of the course, the balance of caution money, if any after eduction of the charges due, will be refunded.
  4. Mess is compulsory for the Nursing students residing in the hostels. The mess charges are 700/- per month (subject to revision from time to time) payable to the Mess in-charge every month in advance.

  1. I am a foreign national (Nepal) having an Indian degree i.e. Post Basic Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Indira Gandhi National Open University completed in 2014 with the University Gold Medal and also President Gold Medal from medal. Am I eligible to apply for M.Sc. Nursing at AIIMS

    • To be eligible to apply for M.Sc Nursing you should have B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing /B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Certificate)/Post-Basic /B Sc. Nursing (4years) course from any recognised University, from an educational institution Recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, with 60% marks for Gen/OBC candidates (55% marks in case of SC/ST candidates). Also you should have registration as Nurse, RN, RM (Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife) with any State Nursing Council.

  2. I jus paid my registration fees rs 812 from my account the money has been deducted but I could not proceed n it doesn’t show any positive status to my account as paid.
