DU BHMS Admission 2017 – Faculty of Medical Science, DU offer admission to Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) 5½ years Course for the academic year 2017-18. Admission to BHMS course will be done on the basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2017 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi.

DU BHMS Admission 2017 through NEET

Faculty of Medical Science, Delhi University admits students based on the merit scored in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The admission process will be initiated once the merit list based on Neet Score is declared.

All aspirants of admission to BUMS course are advised to appear in the National Eligbility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2017.

Eligibility Criteria

Given below eligibility criteria is as per last year exam details and only for references.

Age: He/She must have attained or will attain the age of Seventeen (17) years

Medical Fitness:  He/she should be medically fit. No candidate shall be admitted to BHMS course if he/she is blind (including colour blindness), deaf, dumb, deaf and dumb.

For 85% Delhi Quota Seats : The candidates seeking admission to 1st Prof. BHMS course must have passed Intermediate/Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE)/Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years course) or any other equivalent Examination recognized by the University of Delhi for admission to Undergraduate courses with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed English as one of the subject from a recognized school conducting regular classes situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi (except Patrachar Vidyalaya and Open School) (40% Marks in case of SC/ST/OBC category candidates). While deciding the merit the marks obtained in English will not be taken into consideration.

For 15% All India Quota Seats (except Delhi quota) : The candidates from all over India who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination from an Indian University/Board (12 years course) from a recognized school conducting regular classes or any other equivalent Examination recognized by the University of Delhi for admission to Undergraduate courses with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed English as one of the subject (except Patrachar Vidyalaya and Open School) (40% Marks in case of SC/ST/OBC category candidates). While deciding the merit the marks obtained in English will not be taken into consideration.

Subsequent merit list(s) would be notified, if necessary.

The fee will be deposited in the concerned college from 10:00 A.M. to 03:00 P.M. on all working days except Saturday. On Saturday the fee will be deposited upto 12:00 Noon.

No individual communication would be sent to the candidates for their admission. No correspondence will be entertained relating to delay in submission of Fee/Admission after the expiry of last date of admission as prescribed above on any reason whatsoever.

The admission would be made strictly on the basis of merit of the eligible candidates in each category, determined by marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination or equivalent. In case of tie in percentage of marks of Sr. School (10+2) examination/ equivalent, merit will be prepared in accordance with the following preference/manner :-

  • The candidates who have obtained higher mark in Biology.
  • The Candidates who have obtained higher marks in English.
  • Age: A candidate older in age.
