DU BHMS Admission 2018 – Faculty of Medical Science, DU offer admission to Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) 5½ years Course for the academic year 2018-19. Admission to BHMS course will be done on the basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2018 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. Candidates will be admitted in the given courses on the basis of marks / merit of NEET. Faculty of Medical Science, Delhi University admits students based on the merit scored in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). The admission process will be initiated once the merit list based on Neet Score will be declared.

Eligibility Criteria

Age: He/She must have attained or will attain the age of Seventeen (17) years

Medical Fitness:  He/she should be medically fit. No candidate shall be admitted to BHMS course if he/she is blind (including colour blindness), deaf, dumb, deaf and dumb.

For 85% Delhi Quota Seats : The candidates seeking admission to 1st Prof. BHMS course must have passed Intermediate/Senior School Certificate Examination (CBSE)/Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years course) or any other equivalent Examination recognized by the University of Delhi for admission to Undergraduate courses with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed English as one of the subject from a recognized school conducting regular classes situated within the National Capital Territory of Delhi (except Patrachar Vidyalaya and Open School) (40% Marks in case of SC/ST/OBC category candidates). While deciding the merit the marks obtained in English will not be taken into consideration.

For 15% All India Quota Seats (except Delhi quota) : The candidates from all over India who have passed the prescribed qualifying examination from an Indian University/Board (12 years course) from a recognized school conducting regular classes or any other equivalent Examination recognized by the University of Delhi for admission to Undergraduate courses with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed English as one of the subject (except Patrachar Vidyalaya and Open School) (40% Marks in case of SC/ST/OBC category candidates). While deciding the merit the marks obtained in English will not be taken into consideration.

Admission to BHMS course will be done on the basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2018 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi.

Merit List

The merit list will be displayed on Notice Boards of the Faculty office & on the website and of the college concerned.

Admission to BHMS course will be done on the basis of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2018 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi. Faculty of Medical Science, Delhi University admits students based on the merit scored in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Delhi University will release the list of selected candidates on the basis of marks / merit scored by them in NEET 2018 examination. Provisional Merit list will be released by the Delhi University to select candidates for the admission in BHMS in DU for academic year 2018-19. Provisional Merit list will be release in the following manner.

  • Common merit will be released for 15% All India Quota in the BHMS course.
  • Common merit will be released for 85% Delhi Quota in the BHMS course

Subsequent merit list(s) would be notified, if necessary.

Admission Procedure

No individual communication would be sent to the candidates for their admission. No correspondence will be entertained relating to delay in submission of Fee/Admission after the expiry of last date of admission on any reason whatsoever.

The admission would be made strictly on the basis of merit of the eligible candidates in each category, determined by marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination or equivalent. In case of tie in percentage of marks of Sr. School (10+2) examination/ equivalent, merit will be prepared in accordance with the following preference/manner :-

  • The candidates who have obtained higher mark in Biology.
  • The Candidates who have obtained higher marks in English.
  • Age: A candidate older in age.
