How to log in to the GATE 2027 application portal?
You log in to GOAPS, the GATE 2027 application portal, to finish and pay for your application, check its status and fix defects, make changes till 21 October 2026, download the admit card, see your responses after the exam and download your scorecard.
- Open the GATE 2027 login page (GOAPS).
- Indian citizens choose the Indian Citizens tab, click Continue with DigiLocker and sign in with the same verified DigiLocker account used to apply.
- Foreign nationals choose the Foreign Nationals tab, enter the Enrollment ID received at registration and click Send Secure OTP to Login.
- Foreign nationals then enter the OTP sent to their registered email address.
- Your dashboard opens with your application status and the links live at that stage, such as the edit option, the admit card, your responses and, after the result on 19 March 2027, the scorecard.

How is the GATE score used?
A GATE 2027 score is used for M.Tech, M.E., direct PhD and PhD admission with MoE scholarships at IISc, IITs, NITs and other government-funded institutes, and many PSUs use it to shortlist for jobs. The score is valid for three years from the result date.
Qualifying GATE does not guarantee a seat, scholarship or job; each institute and employer applies its own rules. IIT admissions run through COAP and NIT, IIIT and GFTI admissions through CCMT.
