GATE Result – Marks and Score
Marks of GATE are not same as the GATE Score. Candidates must understand the depth and importance of these. As on the basis of admission and job will be offered.
GATE 2017 Marks
The marks of GATE are those which are calculated out 100 by following the marking scheme. For correct 1 and 2 marks MCQ and NAT the respective mark will be allocated. However, for 1 MCQ negative marking of 1/3 marks will be done and for the 2 marks MCQs, 2/3 marks will be deducted. Luckily, there is no negative marking in NAT.

Important Details Of GATE Score Card
To download the score card, candidates need to login the GOAPS. From March 27 to May 26, 2017, GATE 2017 score card can be downloaded for the fee. However, after the lapse of the deadline the candidates will have to pay Rs. 500 to acquire it.
The validity of GATE score card is 3 years. However, some PSUs might not consider previous year GATE score to grant admission. The score card of GATE 2017 is an important document as it has to be produced during the IIT and CCMT counselling and PSU Recruitment interview.
