Normalized score of jth candidates in ith session for multi-session papers | ![]() |
GATE score for all papers | ![]() |
Here, for normalized score of jth candidates in ith session for multi-session papers,
- Actual marks of the jth candidates in ith session is Mij.
- Average marks of the top 0.1% of the candidates considering all sessions is Mgt .
- Sum of mean and standard deviation marks of the candidates in the paper considering all sessions is Mgq .
- Average marks of the top 0.1% of the candidates in the ith session is Mti .
- Sum of the mean marks and standard deviation of the ith session is Miq .
Here, for GATE score for all papers,
- Marks of the candidate (actual marks for single session papers and normalized marks for multi-session papers) is M.
- Qualifying marks for general category candidate in the paper is Mq
- Mean of marks of top 0.1% or top 10 (whichever is larger) of the candidates who appeared in the paper (in case of multi-session papers including all sessions) is Mt
- Sq is 350, is the score of Mq
- St is 900, is the score of Mt.
