Other Specifications for Photograph
- The photograph must be coloured.
- The background of the image must be white or light coloured.
- The face should occupy 35% of the area of the photograph with a full-face view looking into the camera.
- The main features of the face must not be covered with hair, cloth, or any shadow.
- The forehead and chin must be clearly visible.
- The photograph must be without cap / hat.
- The candidates who wear spectacles regularly can get their photographs clicked with the glasses. However, the candidates must not wear any dark tinted glasses.

- The signature must be done with blue / black pen only.
- The signatures must not be done in capital letters.

GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) is basically an online interface for the candidates to interact with the GATE administration. About GATE 2021
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is conducted by IITs and IISc Bangalore on the rotational basis. It is conducted annually. It is held at All India level for the admission into courses like M.Tech / M.E. / M.Arch / Ph.D. GATE is a computer-based test. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
