The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are prestigious institutes for various undergraduate, postgraduate courses and research. There is common IIT Admission process for undergraduate admissions, called JEE Advanced. The post-graduate level program that awards M.Tech, MS degrees in engineering are done on the basis of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
In addition these courses other graduate degrees such as M.Sc, MBA, PhD etc. are also offered by IITs. Common Admission Test (CAT) score is used for admission to management courses, Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) score is used for admission to M.Sc courses and Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) score is considered for admission to design courses.
