JEE Main 7 Apr 2019 Analysis – JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 for B.Arch / B.Plan has now ended for both the shifts. As per the candidates, the aptitude section of the paper was the easiest of all. Overall the paper was moderate in both the shifts. Mathematics was found to be moderate to difficult. The drawing section of JEE Main Paper 2 was the most time taking as per the candidates. JEE Main Paper 2 is of 390 marks and candidates need to solve 30 question of Maths, 50 MCQ for Aptitude and 2 Drawing questions. JEE Main 07 Apr 2019 Paper 2 Section-wise Analysis (Shift 2)

Paper 2 for JEE Main 2019 has now ended for all the registered candidates. The test had three sections that are Mathematics, General Aptitude and Drawing sections. JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 is for admission in B.Arch / B.Plan courses in the NITs, CFTIs, IIITs, etc. All together the paper 2 for JEE Main was moderated.

Part 1 – Mathematics

Similar to the first shift candidates reported the mathematics section of the 2nd shift was difficult to moderate. Mathematics section had most of the questions from Differential calculus and Geometry. Despite the mathematics section, everything was good said a student. Examination as per candidates was better than the January session of JEE Main 2019.

  • Integration of 5x^4/1e^-x limit -3 to 3
  • More weightage was given to Class 11th CBSE than 12th CBSE.

Part 2- General Aptitude

The section was easy as per students. Some of thee questions from this section are given below that were asked in the paper today.

  • From which direction, there is maximum shadow-less light?
  • Where are Ajanta Ellora Caves located?
  • Name the two architects who designed Chandigarh City?
  • The 42 in Kolkata is being built by?
  • Name Happy colours?
  • Who designed Madhya Pradesh Assembly Hall?

Part 3 – Drawing skills 

In the drawing section, there were a total of three questions. This section was the most time talking and had questions that are given below:

  • Make a photo frame using a Cube or Cylinder and give in an aesthetic look.
  • Also, the students had to replicate the given image of a dancing lady.
  • The third question in the drawing section had three parts:
  1. A restaurant scene
  2. A bedsheet for a girl’s room
  3. Imagine a freedom fighter and sketch it

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 is for admission in B.Arch / B.Plan courses in the NITs, CFTIs, IIITs, etc. The JEE Main 2019 has 3 parts. Part 1 and Part 2 are mathematics and aptitude section respectively and these are held in CBT mode. However, part 3 is the drawing section and is held in pen and paper mode.

The question paper of JEE Main 2019 paper 2 has the following 3 sections. And thus, in this part, the section-wise analysis of the paper is made available after the exam is over:

Part 1 – Mathematics

For the April attempt, candidates have claimed that the questions in this attempt were easier. There were 4 questions from Integration in the mathematics section. There were Questions from Calculus and 3-D were tricky. Maths although was difficult for most, some student found it easy to moderate. There were tricky questions from class 11. The division of the questions was 75% and 25% ratio from class 12 and 11 respectively. There were no questions that were repeated from the January session of JEE Main 2019.

Some of the questions asked in the paper are given below for candidates:

  • If OP is a line of slope 1/√3 joining origin and point P on the parabola y² = 3x. A normal is drawn is P which cuts the axis of the parabola at Q. Then the distance QS is (Where S is the focus of the parabola?
    a) 45/4
    b)39/4
    c)35/7
    d) none of these
  • In an increasing GP if the sum of the first and sixth term is 66 and the product of the second and fifth term is 128, then the sum of the first six terms of this GP is?
  • Complete the following series: 38, 190, 950,…..?

Ans: 4750

  •  If f (x) = a log |x| + bx³ + cx² and -1 and 1 are the point of inflection, then?

Ans: f”(1) + f”(-1) = 0

Part 2- General Aptitude

The aptitude section was easy enough to be solved in just 20 to 25 minutes. There were no tricky questions as such.

Some of the questions asked in the paper are given below for candidates:

  • Which is the Fort of Hyderabad

Ans: Golconda Fort

  • Where is Sas-bahu temple??

Ans: Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh

  • Where is leaning tower of Pisa?

Ans: Piazza del Duomo, 56126 Pisa PI, Italy

  •  Which is the highest tower in Bengaluru?

Ans: Mantri DSK Pinnacle

  • How does an escalator move??

Ans: A typical escalator uses a 100 horsepower motor to rotate the gear

  •  Where was Zaha Hadid born?

Ans: Baghdad, Iraq

Part 3 – Drawing skills

Drawing sections was one of the most time taking sections. The sketching took most of their time. The questions were based on imagination skills and also to judge the understanding skills of the candidates.

Some of the questions asked in the paper are given below for candidates:

  • Design a square table cloth.
  • Draw a classroom scene in which the professor and student can be seen from behind.
  • Students had to make an aesthetic image out of a cube using their imagination.
  • Students have to replicate an image of the flower, as accurately as they can.

For the January attempt the brief analysis is as follows:

Shift 1:

  • Mathematics was the toughest section
  • Aptitude was the easiest one
  • and the Drawing section was moderate.

Shift 2:

  • Mathematics was tough
  • Aptitude was easiest of all
  • Drawing section in this shift was again on the moderate side.

4:00 PM: As per students there were approx 75% questions from CBSE class 12th and 25% questions from CBSE class 11th.

3:50 PM: Talking about the difficulty level of the paper in the first shift of JEE Main Paper  2. The Mathematics section was moderate, while the drawing section was the most time taking of all.

3:45 PM: JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 has 30 MCQ type questions from Maths section, 50 MCQ type questions from Aptitude Test section and 3 questions from the drawing section out of which only 2 are to be attempted by a candidate.

12:00 PM: Half an hour to go for the first paper of JEE Main 2019 April session to end. Stay connected with us to get all the live exam analysis from the examination center.

11: 45 AM: The question paper for JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 has 30 MCQ type questions from Maths section, 50 MCQ type questions from Aptitude Test section and 3 questions from the drawing section out of which only 2 are to be attempted by a candidate.

11: 30 AM: This session we have witnessed a fall in the number of candidates registered. For JEE Main 2019 Paper 2, for April session, 115767 candidates have registered, while for the Jan session, 180052 candidates had registered.

11:15 AM: The examination is currently being conducted in 470 Centres in 267 Cities from which 9 of them are outside India.

11:00 AM: Now, for JEE Main 2019 paper 2 a total of 71,010 females, 98,756 male and one transgender candidate has registered for the April session.

10: 45 AM: To remind readers, The score that will be generated for this test is not the raw score but the NTA score, which would be the normalized scores.

10:30 AM: Talking about the January session the paper 2 was of a moderate level with questions distribution as only 40% questions were from CBSE Class 12 while 60% questions were from CBSE Class 11. Now, let us wait and see the level of paper in Apri session of  JEE Main 2019 paper 2.

10:15 AM: Candidates appearing for JEE Main Paper 2 were carrying their own geometry box set, pencils, erasers, and crayons. Also, cardboard for the drawing test was to be carried by every candidate.

9:50 AM: The JEE Main Paper 2 is conducted in both online and offline mode, Mathematics- Part I and Aptitude Test-Part II in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” mode only and Drawing Test –Part III in “Pen & Paper Based” (offline).

9:30 AM: The JEE Main Paper 2 for April session has now started, candidates were to reach the examination center latest by 8:00 AM and the entry to the examination hall was restricted after 9:00 AM.

JEE Main 07 Apr 2019 Analysis By Coaching Centres

Various coaching centres come up with their analysis of the question paper. The same is made available on this page. The analysis by the coaching centre is important as they are more reliable and in-depth. JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Analysis for Drawing

The drawing section had three questions carrying 70 marks of the paper. As per candidates the drawing section was quite easy and had a total of 3 questions. The third question of the section had 3 part and candidates had to attempt any one of them:

  • The first option was to design the curtain of a small girl’s room, the second option was to sketch your favourite film actor and the third option was to sketch the scene of people sitting around a bonfire the marks for this question was 30.
  • In the second question was for 20 marks in which a square design was given and students had to draw the same by drawing the replica to double its size.
  • The last question was to draw a square with random designs using curved lines and colour, this :question was for 20 marks.

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Analysis for Mathematics

The section was reportedly moderate in nature as per the candidates, there were some questions from last years’ question papers. Questions from Class 11th covered 60% of the Mathematics section whereas only 40% of questions were as per Class 12th.

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Analysis for Aptitude Test

The  Aptitude test that has a total number of 50 questions comprising of 200 marks. The questions were easy for candidates. General Aptitude section threw no major surprises and was easy, and so was Aptitude section.
