The JEE Main 2027 admit card is the hall ticket NTA issues on jeemain.nta.nic.in about 3 to 4 days before each exam date. Session 1 is tentatively on 22 to 24 and 28 to 30 January 2027, so admit cards are expected in mid to late January 2027. You need it, with an original photo ID, to enter the centre.

How to Download the JEE Main 2027 Admit Card
- Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in and click the admit card link for your session.
- Log in with your application number and password (or date of birth), then enter the security pin shown.
- Check every detail on the admit card: name, photo, paper, exam date, shift and centre address.
- Make sure the QR code and barcode appear on the admit card.
- Download the PDF along with the self-declaration (undertaking) page and print it clearly on A4 paper.
NTA releases admit cards in batches by exam date, about 3 to 4 days before each date; in 2026 the first Session 1 batch came out on 17 January 2026, four days before the exam. If you cannot download it, call the NTA helpline on 011-40759000.
What is the JEE Main 2027 city intimation slip?
The city intimation slip tells you only the city of your exam centre, about two weeks ahead, so you can plan travel; it is not the admit card. The 2026 Session 1 slip came out on 8 January 2026, so the 2027 Session 1 slip is expected in early January 2027.
What details are printed on the JEE Main admit card?
- Your name, photograph and signature
- Application number and roll number
- Paper you will take (Paper 1, 2A, 2B or both 2A and 2B)
- Exam date, shift and timing
- Reporting and gate closing time
- Exam centre name and full address
- Exam-day instructions and the self-declaration form
If any detail is wrong, contact NTA at once. NTA lets you take the exam with the downloaded admit card and corrects its records later.
What documents should I carry to the JEE Main exam centre?
- A clear A4 printout of the admit card with the self-declaration filled in
- One passport-size photo, the same as in your application, to paste on the attendance sheet
- One original, valid photo ID: school ID, PAN card, voter ID, passport, Aadhaar or e-Aadhaar with photo, Class 12 board admit card with photo, or bank passbook with photo
- PwD/PwBD certificate, if you are claiming that relaxation
- A simple transparent ball point pen
Without the admit card and a valid photo ID you will not be allowed to sit the exam.
What are the JEE Main exam-day rules?
NTA asks candidates to reach the centre 2 hours before the exam starts, and the gate closes before the test begins.

- Paper 2A and 2B together run until 12:30 pm in Shift 1 or 6:30 pm in Shift 2.
- Mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, geometry boxes, bags, wallets, any paper, food and water are not allowed.
- Rough sheets are given at the centre; write your name and application number on each and return them.
- Sit only at the seat matching your roll number. There is no re-test if you miss your shift.
B.Arch candidates should carry their own pencils, geometry box, erasers, colour pencils and crayons for the Drawing Test. Revise the JEE Main syllabus rather than new topics in the last week.
