JEE Main 2018 Result will be declared only in the online mode. CBSE will announce the result for JEE Main Paper-I on April 30, 2018. The result for JEE Main Paper- II will be declared on May 31, 2018. Once, the JEE Main Result 2018 has been declared, candidates will be able to download their score/rank from the official website. JEE Main 2018 Result

The JEE Main 2018 Result will comprise of actual marks obtained in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2018 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2018. For admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board to NITs / IIITs / CFTIs / SFTIs / Others, only the All India Rank (AIR) will be used. Scorecard / Rank Card of JEE Main 2018 Result

After the declaration of result, candidates will be able to see their scorecard or rank card on the CBSE website. All India Rank, marks obtained, cutoff, status of qualifying JEE Main for JEE Advanced 2018 will be mentioned in the scorecard along with photograph and signature of the candidate. How to check JEE Main 2018 Result ?

After the JEE Main 2018 examination, result will be declared on JEE Main website. However, the result will be displayed on CBSE website for that link will be available on the JEE Main website. Result can be viewed through some simple steps that are as follows:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Main at jeemain.nic.in Window for that can be seen as the image given below:

  • Click on the link “Result of Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018”. GIven below is the image depicting the same as mentioned. The image that is displayed above is for reference only.
  • By clicking on the above link, candidate will be directed to the CBSE result page at cbseresults.nic.in Now candidate should click on the link Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018- With Rank (both paper 1 and paper 2). Screenshot of the same is mentioned below. Candidate should note that the image used here is for reference only.

Candidate can directly go to the CBSE result website to check the results.
Enter the roll number that will be present on candidate’s admit card and Date of Birth as shown below in the image and submit the details.

After this candidate can view his or her result of JEE Main 2018. Candidates are advised to download the result and save it. Also take a printout of the result that will be used at the time of counselling. Retain it till the admissions.

Candidate should download the scorecard from official website of CBSE.

JEE Main Scorecard/Rank Card

  • No scorecard will be send through mail, sms or by post, candidates need to check the result through online mode.
  • Candidates must carry the rank card with them at the time of counselling
  • The scorecard shall contain the All India Rank, name , roll number, category wise rank, marks obtained.

Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) conducts the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main) in India. Previously, this examination was known as All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). This national level competitive test was first introduced in the year 2002. It is held for admissions to various undergraduate engineering and architecture courses in institutes that had been accepting the AIEEE score.

To sum up, 31 National institutes of Technology (NIT) and 23 Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) all of them accepts JEE- Main.  This time the exam will be held on April 8th, 2018 (for Pen & Paper based examination) and again on April 15th & 16th (for Computer based examination).

The score and rank of Paper-1 of JEE (Main) will be declared by 30th April 2018. Applicants can download their score/rank cards from the JEE-Main official website http://jeemain.nic.in.

Candidates will be offered admission based on their choices and All India Ranks of JEE (Main)-2018 through a Seat Allocation Process that is to be announced later. The applicants will be a able to make their choices online for branches/programmes and institutes at appropriate time.

JEE Main Result – Merit List Compilation

Only the All India Rank (AIR) is taken into consideration for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/Others, while the other ranks are for information purposes. No score/ rank card will be dispatched to the candidates. So, the candidates are advised to download their score/rank cards from the JEE (Main) website jeemain.nic.in only.

Inter Se Merit (Tie breaking)

In case of a tie, inter se merit of such candidates will be decided in the given below:

Rank list for admission to B.E. /B. Tech. (in institutions other than IITs)

  • Mathematics marks in JEE (Main) – 2018. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Physics marks in the JEE (Main) – 2018. Candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. Candidate having higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.
  • If the resolution is impossible after this criterion, candidates will be offered the same rank.

Rank list for admission to B.Arch. /B. Planning (in institutions other than IITs)

  • Aptitude Test marks in Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) in JEE (Main) – 2018. Candidate acquiring higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Drawing Test marks in Paper-2 (B. Arch./B. Planning.) in JEE (Main) – 2018. Candidate having the higher marks will be given better rank.
  • Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. Candidate gaining higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank.
  • If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates will be given the same rank.

Scope of Re-evaluation

The answer keys and images of response sheets (OMR Sheets) of Pen & Paper based examination and answer keys of Computer based examination will be shown on the official website www.jeemain.nic.in during 24th-27th April, 2018. The candidates, who are not satisfied with the captured response may challenge by filling online application form and paying a sum of Rs. 1000/- per question. The challenge of answer keys will be accepted online only through the link available on the website up to 11:59 PM on 27/04/2018. The fee can be paid by Credit/debit card. The fee once paid is non-refundable, however, in case the challenge is accepted by the Board the fee will be refunded to the respective candidate. Such refund will be done online to the concerned Debit/credit card account, so applicants are advised to use their own debit/Credit card to make the payment. The JAB’s/CBSE’s decision on the challenges will be final and no further communication will be entertained.

Seat Allocation and Admission Process

Candidates will be offered admission based on their choices and All India Ranks of JEE (Main)-2018 through a Seat Allocation Process that is to be announced later. The applicants will be a able to make their choices online for branches/programmes and institutes at appropriate time.

The verification of documents would be done at the time of Seat Allocation Process/ Admission. The purpose would be to verify different records regarding identification, age, qualifying examination, state of eligibility, category and disability (if any) of the candidate. On failing to produce any of the authentic documents the candidate will not be considered for admission.

SC/ST/OBC and PwD candidates will be required to produce original certificate issued by the competent authority at the time of Seat Allocation Process as well as at the time of admission, failing which they will not be considered for admission.
