The JEE Main 2027 result is the NTA score (percentile) and All India Rank that NTA publishes on jeemain.nta.nic.in. Session 1 scores are expected in February 2027, and final ranks with the JEE Advanced cut off in April 2027 after Session 2. In 2026 the final Paper 1 result came on 20 April 2026.

How to Check the JEE Main 2027 Result
- Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in and click the scorecard link for your session and paper.
- Enter your application number and password (or date of birth).
- Type the security pin and log in.
- Check your NTA scores and, after Session 2, your All India Rank.
- Download and print the scorecard. Keep both soft and hard copies, as NTA keeps it online only for a limited period.
A copy of the final scorecard is also sent to your registered email address.
What details are on the JEE Main scorecard?
- Name (as in your Class 10 certificate), application number and roll number
- Category, PwD status and state of eligibility
- NTA score (percentile) in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and the total, for each session you took
- Best total NTA score if you took both sessions
- All India Rank and category rank (with the final result)
- Whether you qualify to register for JEE Advanced
How are JEE Main percentiles and ranks calculated?
Your raw marks in each shift are converted to a percentile, which shows the share of candidates in that shift who scored equal to or below you. The topper of every shift gets 100 percentile, and percentiles are calculated to 7 decimal places.
- The total percentile is worked out on your total marks; it is not the average of your subject percentiles.
- If you take both sessions, the better total NTA score is used for your rank.
- Ties are broken by the NTA score in Mathematics, then Physics, then Chemistry, then by fewer wrong answers compared with right ones.
- Candidates still tied after all steps get the same rank.
Who qualifies for JEE Advanced 2027 from JEE Main?
The top 2,50,000 candidates in Paper 1, across all categories, can register for JEE Advanced, subject to its other eligibility rules. The latest general category cut off (2026) was 93.4123549 percentile; the full list is on the JEE Main cut off page.
What happens after the JEE Main 2027 result?
After the final result, seats at NITs, IIITs and other government-funded institutes are filled through JoSAA counselling on josaa.nic.in, using your JEE Main rank. IIT seats need a JEE Advanced rank.
- JoSAA 2027 is expected to start in June 2027, after the JEE Advanced 2027 result.
- JoSAA has registration and choice filling, mock allotments, then rounds of seat allocation (5 rounds in 2026).
- For NIT+ seats you need 75% in Class 12 (65% for SC, ST, PwD) or a top 20 percentile position in your board.
- After JoSAA, CSAB holds special rounds for vacant NIT+ seats on csab.nic.in.
- Many states and private universities also admit students on JEE Main scores through their own counselling.
