KCET 2020 – Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has announced KCET 2020 exam dates. The Karnataka Common Entrance Test is scheduled on April 22 and 23, 2020. Whereas, the Kannada languages test is on April 24, 2020. KCET is a state level exam, conducted for admission of candidates in UG engineering, technology, yoga & naturopathy, farm science, and B.Pharm & Pharm-D courses. KCET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Before applying for the exam, candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria of the exam. It is as given below:
Nationality – The applying candidate shall be a citizen of India.
- Architecture course (B.Arch) – Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent Exam with Mathematics as Compulsory optional subject and obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in all the subjects.
- Engineering / Technology courses (B.E. / B.Tech) – Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio‐ Technology / Biology / Electronics / Computer.
- Farm Science courses – Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects.
- B‐Pharma – Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects. OR Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination and has secured minimum of 45% marks.
- 2nd Year B. Pharma – Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and has secured minimum of 45% marks.
- Pharma‐D – Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics OR Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination
Note – 5% of relaxation in marks is offered to the reserved candidates of Karnataka.

KCET 2020 Examination Pattern
Candidates appearing for the exam must know the key elements syllabus and exam pattern for the exam. Check the exam pattern and marking scheme from below:
Mode of Examination – The exam is held in pen and paper mode.
Type of Questions – In the exam, only multiple choice question (MCQ) are asked.
Number of Subjects: There are total 3 subjects in the exam. which are for:

Duration for each session: The duration of each session will be of 80 minutes.
Total Marks: Total marks of exam is 180.
Marking Scheme: For every right answer 1 mark is awarded. There is no negative marking in the exam.

KCET 2020 Application Form
Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) releases the application form online at official website. Candidates applying for KCET must submit the application form and have to provide the personal details, qualification and communication details. Candidates must provide his/her mobile number and email ID for the updates. To submit the form completely, they have to pay the online application fee as per their category.
Application Fee – Candidates have to submit the application form fee in Bank or e-post office. The application fee for GM, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B categories candidates of Karnataka have to pay Rs.500/- , SC, ST, CAT-1 Candidates of Karnataka and All female candidate of Karnataka have to pay Rs.500/-. Candidates outside the Karnataka have to pay the application fee of Rs.750/- and Candidates Outside India (GM) have to pay the application fee of Rs.5000/-
KCET 2020 Admit Card
Candidates can download the admit card from the official website. To access the admit card, candidates need to log in to the candidate’s login. KCET 2020 Admit Card is an important document to be carried at the time of examination along with valid id proof. KCET 2020 Admit Card comprises some important details like name and address of the candidate, complete address of the test center, photograph and signature of the candidate.
KCET 2020 Answer Key
The answer key of exam shall be released on the official website of KEA few days after the exam. It shall be a provisional answer key. Through this answer key, the aspirants will be able to calculate their tentative marks. Candidates can access the answer key through the application number and password. In case of candidates is not satisfied with the answer key, they can raise the objections to this provisional answer key. To raise the objection, candidates will have to visit the official body in person to file their challenges or speed post or send it on the official mail id of KEA which is keauthority‐firstname.lastname@example.org. The challenge should be sent along with the respective proofs/justifications.
KCET 2020 Result
On the basis of the final answer key, result of exam will be compiled. KEA will declare the result in the scorecard form on the official website. To access the scorecard, candidates will have to log in with application number and password. Along with the result, the correct final answer key and separate merit list shall be released for all the courses. On the basis of the result, candidates will be called for the counselling process.
KCET 2020 Counselling
After the declaration of result, the counselling for admissions to the various courses shall be conducted. KEA will release the cutoff of all the subjects for selection of the candidates for seat allotment process. The students will be allotted the colleges on the basis of their performance in the exam and the rank which they have obtained in the merit list. The Government of Karnataka established Karnataka Examination Authority in 2006. First, GOK has founded the common Entrance Test Cell in 1994 to conduct the entrance test for admissions into various UG and PG courses in Karnataka. Later on, it is converted as an autonomous body called Karnataka Examination Authority. KEA is governed by the Governing Council Minister of Higher Education, GOK. It allots seats in the government colleges in Karnataka according to the performance in KCET.
