KCET Answer Key 2018 and Solution KCET 2018 Answer Key – KEA will publish the KCET 2018 Answer Key after the common entrance test which will be held in the 1st week of May 2018. The answer key will be uploaded in the 1st week of May 2018 on the official website www.kea.kar.nic.in. Candidates will be able to analyse their performance by calculating their scores and can also predict their ranks obtained in the KCET 2018 through these answer keys.

The answer keys will be published separately for each subject such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics and also for the 16 different version codes. In case, the candidates will have some objections related to the answer key then the objections can be submitted to the conducting body within the given period of time.

KCET Answer Key 2018

The KCET 2018 Answer Keys will be published into two parts: one will be the Provisional Answer Key and the second will be Final Answer Key. Candidate will have the access to both the answer key. The difference between the provisional answer key and final answer key will be that the provisional answer can be challenged by the candidates/parents/lecturers, if they will find any objections in the answer key. But the final answer key will be published after all the objections will be corrected and it will be final and binding on all. Result of Karnataka CET 2018 will be based on the official answer keys.

Steps to download Answer Keys

Candidates can check the KCET 2018 answer keys in the following manner:

  • Candidates will have to open the official website www.kea.kar.nic.in.
  • Next, candidates will have to click on the link ‘KCET 2018 Answer Key’ displayed on the screen.
  • Now, the candidates will have to login using his/her application number and password.
  • Then, the candidates will be able to see the Answer Keys and can check their answers for the questions asked in the KCET 2018.
  • And, if there will be any wrong answers displayed then the candidates can challenge the provisional answer keys.

How to Challenge Provisional Answer Key

If candidates/parents/lecturers will find any objections in the provisional answer key, then he/she can submit their objections in the following way:

  1. The candidate can file the objections addressed to the “Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore” on or before the scheduled date either in person or by Speed Post/email: [email protected].
  2. The candidates will have to submit the objections along with all the supporting documents/ Justifications.
  3. The objections will be placed in front of the Expert Committee for corrections.
  4. The final decision will be taken by the Expert Committee and that decision will be final for determination of the right answer key.
  5. The right answer key approved by the Expert Committee will be applied during the evaluation for determination of merit list.

Calculating the Marks for KCET 2018

After the examination, the candidates can check their marks through the published answer keys by the KEA on the official website. The candidate can calculate their marks on the basis of the marks obtained which will be equal to the number of correct answers and there will be no negative marking for wrong answers. Each correct answer will get one mark. So, the candidates can check their marks through the simple way (Number of Questions X 1 = Marks Obtained) and can analyse their performance in the examination.

Online Rank/Merit

The online rank/merit will be generated on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination. The candidate’s admission to their respective courses will be based on the rank/merit scored in the examination, number of the seat availability and previous years cut-offs.
