KEAM previous year question papers from CEE Kerala are here for every year from 2015 to 2026: Paper 1 (Physics and Chemistry) and Paper 2 (Mathematics) booklets for 2015 to 2023, with answer keys up to 2022, and session-wise computer-based papers with CEE’s final answers for 2024, 2025 and 2026. Since 2024 the engineering test is one 150-question, 3-hour paper with +4 and −1 marking, so the nine 2026 and nine 2025 session papers are the closest match to KEAM 2027, expected in April 2027.

How the KEAM Paper Changed (2015–2026)
- 2015 to 2023: two pen-and-paper booklets, Paper 1 (Physics and Chemistry) and Paper 2 (Mathematics), each with 120 questions in 150 minutes. 2023 was the last pen-and-paper KEAM.
- 2024: KEAM became a computer-based test, with one 150-question engineering paper of 3 hours held over several sessions and normalised scores.
- 2026: the engineering paper had Mathematics 75, Physics 45 and Chemistry 30, and the rank gave equal weight to the entrance score and Plus Two marks.
- Using the old booklets: 2015 to 2023 questions are still good chapter practice, but Mathematics now has 75 questions against 120 in old Paper 2, so time yourself on the newer papers.
How to Use KEAM Previous Year Papers?
- Keep to 72 seconds a question. The engineering paper gives 180 minutes for 150 questions. Mathematics has half of them, so plan about 90 minutes for it.
- Never guess blind. With five options, +4 and −1, a random guess averages exactly zero. Rule out one option and a guess is worth +0.25; rule out two and it is worth about +0.67.
- Solve several 2026 and 2025 sessions. Each session had a different question set, and scores are normalised, so practising many sessions gives a truer picture than one.
- Use the booklets with keys for chapter work. Keys are here for 2015 to 2022. The 2023 booklets have no key, so check them from your textbooks.
- Do not neglect Plus Two. Your board marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry make up half of the engineering index mark. With about five months to the April 2027 test, revise for both together.

KEAM Previous Year Question Papers FAQs
How many questions are there in the KEAM engineering paper?
150 multiple-choice questions in 180 minutes: Mathematics 75, Physics 45 and Chemistry 30 (2026 pattern). The pharmacy paper has 75 questions in 90 minutes.
Is there negative marking in KEAM?
Yes. A correct answer gets +4 and a wrong answer loses 1 mark. Unanswered questions get 0. Each question has five options.
Do the KEAM papers have answer keys?
Yes for most years. 2015 to 2022 have keys for both papers (2022 also has CEE’s revised final Paper 1 key). The 2024 to 2026 session papers show CEE’s final answers. 2023 has no key.
When did KEAM become a computer-based test?
In 2024. Up to 2023 KEAM was two pen-and-paper papers; from 2024 it is one computer-based paper held over several sessions.
Are the KEAM 2023 papers useful?
Yes, for chapter practice. Both 2023 booklets are here, but there is no key, and the Mathematics PDF is a used booklet with a few tick marks.
How is the KEAM engineering rank calculated?
CEE adds your normalised entrance score (out of 300) to your normalised Plus Two marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, weighted 150, 90 and 60, for an index mark out of 600.
When is KEAM 2027?
KEAM 2027: April 2027 (expected). Application: January 2027 (expected). See the KEAM 2027 page for every date.
