KEAM 2018 Answer Key

The answer key of KEAM Engineering Entrance Exam will be published online. Candidates can cross check their answers and calculate the probable score. Last year, the exam for Paper 1 and Paper 2 was held on April 24 and 25 and the official answer keys of which was published on April 25. Hence, it can be expected that the CEE will also release the answer key on the same day.

Note: Complaints regarding the Answer Keys, if any, may be forwarded to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations along with supporting documents and fee @ Rs. 100/- per question by way of DD drawn in favour of the commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram, by post or hand delivery so as to reach the office on or before April 30, 2018 (Monday).

If the complaint filed is found to be genuine, the fee remitted for that question will be refunded. Complaints received after the stipulated time and without requisite fee will not be considered under any circumstances. Complaints received via E-mail/Fax also will not be considered.

KEAM 2018 Official Answer Key for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

The candidates will get the KEAM 2018 Answer Key online. The CEE will release answer key for Paper 1, which is for Physics and Chemistry and Paper 2, which is for Mathematics. The code for Paper 1 is A1, A2, A3, A4. Whereas for Paper 2 the codes are B1, B2, B3, and B4.

Challenge KEAM 2018 Answer Key

After the release of the KEAM 2018 Official Answer Key, if the candidates have any doubt in it they can challenge the KEAM Answer Key. The candidates need to submit the objection(s) if there is any before the last date. The CEE will not consider the challenge submitted if the candidates submit it after the last date or it is sent without the fee.

How to submit objections in the KEAM 2018 Official Answer Key?

The CEE provides the facility to the students to challenge the KEAM 2018 Answer Key. The candidate can submit their complaint regarding the answer keys by following the instruction given below:

• Those who wish to submit any complaint regarding the KEAM 2018 Answer Keys, can do it so by writing to the CEE and submit it along with supporting documents.
• Last year, the candidates had to pay an amount of Rs. 100 per question. So you shall have to pay the same amount for KEAM 2018 as well. The candidates shall have to pay the fee for challenging the KEAM Answer Key by Demand Draft.

What Happens After Submitting the Challenge?

After the last date for submitting the objection is over, the Concerned authorities will look into the objections. The respective subject expert will then examine the errors on the basis of the objections. The decision of the expert committees in this regard will be final. If they find the complaint to be genuine, then the candidate will get fee refund for objections.

How to Calculate Score Using KEAM 2018 Answer Key?

It is very simple to use the answer key for calculating the score in the exam. The candidates just need to cross-check the answers with that given in the answer key. Then, for each answer that matches, allocate 04 marks. For each incorrect answer deduct 01 marks. By the end of all the questions, candidates will know their predicted score.

• Add 4 marks for every correct answer
• Deduct 1 mark for every incorrect answer
• Add the total marks obtained after cross-checking the answers

Modification In Previous Year’s KEAM Answer Key

Last year, on the basis of the objections submitted by the candidate, CEE, Kerala, modified the KEAM Official Answer Key. The modification which was done are as follows:

• In the KEAM Paper I (Physics & Chemistry), 01 question from Physics and 02 questions from Chemistry were deleted and no marks were given for these questions. The evaluation for KEAM Physics and Chemistry was done on the basis of 71 questions in Physics and 46 questions in Chemistry.
• The score of Chemistry of KEAM Paper I was multiplied by (48/46), corrected to four decimal places. Furthermore, the score in Physics of KEAM Paper I was multiplied by (72/71), corrected to four decimal places. Both the scores were then added to the calculated total score of KEAM Paper I.
• For KEAM Paper-II (Mathematics), 04 questions were deleted from the answer key and the score for the remaining 116 questions was then multiplied by (120/116), to determine the total score corrected to four decimal places of KEAM Paper 2.

KEAM Cut Off 2018

To qualify in the KEAM, a candidate must score a minimum of 10 marks each in Paper I and Paper II. The candidates who do not score the minimum given marks are not included in the rank list.

However, for the SC/ST candidates, there is no requirement of minimum marks in the entrance test. But those candidates who will not give an answer to at least one question in each paper will be disqualified.

KEAM 2018 Result

The CEE will publish the result for KEAM 2018 online at its official website. To check the result, the candidates need to enter their login details such as Roll number, Date of birth/ password, etc. The merit list is published separately for each course. The candidates are shortlisted for admission either on the basis of the Qualifying examination or on the basis of merit in entrance exam or there is a 50:50 ratio, i.e. both qualifying examination and entrance test are considered.

KEAM 2018

The full form of KEAM is Karnataka Engineering Agriculture Medical entrance exam. It is a state level entrance exam which is conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE). It is the gateway for admission in various specializations of engineering, pharmacy, medical, forestry, agriculture and many other courses. Though for admission in the Medical course, a candidate should have qualified NEET exam, and for architecture courses, candidates have to be qualified for NATA entrance exam. KEAM entrance exam will be conducted on April 23 and 24, 2018 in various exam centers.

Previous Year Statistics

As per the newspaper reports, a total of 1,12,129 candidates had registered for KEAM last year. Out of which, 1,00,350 candidates i.e (89.5%) had taken the test for Paper 1 whereas 1,06,264 candidates registered for Paper 2. Though only 90806 students actually appeared for the entrance test and of these, 72440 students qualified for the higher studies.
