MHT CET Exam: Directorate of Technical education (DTE) Maharashtra conducts MHT CET exam. It is the state level entrance exam for admission to1st-year Technical Education /Fisheries Science / Dairy Technology / Agricultural Degree courses. DTE formulates State Common Entrance Test Cell to organize the MHT CET. Candidates get admission on the basis of rank secured in the exam, followed by Centralised Admission Process (CAP). MHT CET Exam
Candidates aiming to get admission in the1st-year Technical Education /Fisheries Science / Dairy Technology / Agricultural Degree courses have to appear for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test and qualify it. Candidates are requested to note that MHT CET is not for medical (MBBS) admission. The important dates are as follows:

MHT CET Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must check the check the eligibility criteria before applying for the MHT CET exam. Maharashtra candidates, All India candidates, Minority candidates, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant CandidatureChildren of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National (exempt from Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) can apply for the same. Check the eligibility criteria for various stream as given below
- Nationality – Indian Nationals/ Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National are eligible to apply for MHT CET 2020
- Educational Qualification – The candidate should have passed HSC/12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination from a recognized Board. Those who will be appearing for their HSC/12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination are also eligible to apply.
For Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Pharm D. Courses
- Subject Combination – Should have passed Class 12th or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects.
- Marks Required in Qualifying Examination – Should have obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
- Diploma Holders – Those who have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) can also apply for MHT CET.
For Agriculture and Allied Courses
- Subject Combination – Should have passed Class 12th or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics, Chemistry or Biology.
- Marks Required in Qualifying Examination – Should have obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
For First-Year B.F.Sc. and B.Tech. [Dairy Technology] Courses
- Educational Qualification – Candidate who have passed XII Std. (10+2) with 50% marks for Unreserved category and 40% marks for Reserved category in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English has taken together are eligible for admission to B. F. Sc. Degree Course.
- Marks Required in Qualifying Examination – Should have obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
