In all, 1519375 candidates registered for the examination and of these, 1410755 appeared for the exam. The total number of qualified candidates is 797042. What Does Percentile NEET Cut Off Means? – A percentile indicates the number of candidates who scored above or below the respective candidates. So, if the percentile of a candidate is 15 and in total 35 candidates appeared for the exam, then there are 20 candidates who scored below the respective candidates and 14 candidates scored more.
NEET percentile cut off also indicates the same. Hence, in order to places in the NEET All India Merit List, the candidates need to score more than 50th candidate, if belonging to the general category. It is released with the NEET Result.

NEET 2019 Score, Percentile Score, and AIR
There are three basic elements on NEEt 2019 result and these are:
- Raw Score
- Percentile Score
- NEET 2019 All India Rank.
NEET 2019 Raw Score – The raw score of NEET is prepared on the basis of marking scheme and the final answer key of NEET. The candidates get 4 marks for each correct answer and for an incorrect answer, the negative marking of 1 mark is done. Marks are deducted if more than 1 answer has been marked. The total marks are the raw score of the candidates in the exam.
NEET 2019 Percentiel Score – The percentile score, as explained above, is the number of candidates who scored more and less than the candidate.
The following formula is used for calculating percentile score:
100 x Number of candidates appeared with raw score EQUAL TO OR LESS than the candidate

NEET 2019 15% All India Quota Seats – National Testing Agency (NTA) prepared the 15% All India Quota merit list on the basis of the percentile score. In this, the following candidates are included:
- Who scored more than the cut off percentile.
- Who opted for 15% All India Quota.
In it, the candidates are placed in the order of priority, as per the score. The merit is then handed over to Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. DGHS give it to Medical Counselling Committee, who then holds online NEET counselling.

NEET 2019 Tie-Breaker Criteria
While determining NEET 2019 Result, tie between two or more candidates arises. In this case, NTA follows the below mentioned criteria to break NEET 2019 tie.
- First, the marks of the candidates in Biology (Botany and Zoology) test are considered. Candidates with higher marks in Biology are allocated a higher rank.
- If the above is not sufficient, then the marks of the candidates in Chemistry test are checked. Again, the candidate with higher rank gets higher marks.
- Tier still persists, then the number of attempts is counted and the candidate who has less incorrect answers gets the higher rank.
- Lastly, to break the tie, the age of the candidate is considered. The older candidate is allocated higher rank.

What is the Validity of NEET 2019 Result?
The score and NEET 2019 AIR is only valid for 1 year. The candidates can only use it to get admission in the session 2019-2020.
However, candidates seeking admission in Foreign Medical Institutions can use NEET 2019 Result for 3 years, from the date of declaration of result. This was informed by the authorities in the notice released on March 14, 2019. Check below.

NEET 2019 Counselling
The counselling of NEET 2019 is conducted by Medical Counselling Committee. It is conducted only to fill 15% All India Quota seats. It is held online, and to participate in it the candidates first have to register and submit the choices for the course and colleges. Then, as per the rank of the candidates, MCC issues seat allotment result. Selected candidates have to appear for document verification and then final admission is done.
Other than this, each state holds separate counselling for NEET. NTA provides rank and score of the candidates to state admission authority and they hold they prepare their own merit list. On the basis of that merit, admission is granted.

About NEET 2019
NEET is a national level entrance MBBS and BDS entrance exam. It is accepted by colleges and Universities around the country. The examination is conducted in offline mode by National Testing Agency (NTA). Earlier, the exam was conducted by CBSE.
NEET is a 720 marks examinations. The candidates have to solve 180 questions on Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Zoology and Botany). The questions are of multiple choice type. The negative marking in the exam is of 1 mark, which is also applicable if more than 1 answer is marked for a question.
