NEET 2020 Result Date
NTA started conducing National Eligibility cum Entrance Test from last year, earlier than that Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) used to conduct the exam. It has been seen, that since NTA is deducting to holding the entrance exams it accelerate the entire process of holding the exams and events.
First of all, candidates should note that NTA has not announced any date for the announcement of NEET 2020 result. The below mentioned are speculation and news reports by unofficial sources.
Why Is NEET 2020 Result Date Expected to be in 1st Week of October 2020?
As we have already told that NTA has accelerated the process for conducting NEET.
Last time, NTA released NEET result exactly 4 days after the answer key challenge ended.
So the challenge ended on June 01 and the answer key was released on October 05. Hence, going by this, the answer key challenge ended on September 29, at 2.00 pm. So, the result should be out by October 04 or 05 October 2020.
Why IS NEET 2020 Result Date Expected as October 12, 2020
News reports claim that an higher rank NTA Official has told that result will be out by October 12, 2020.
However, NTA has not backed these reports. Also, this also seems as per the previous year trend. Last year, NEET was held on May 05 and result was announced exactly after 1 month, on June 05, 2020. This year, the exam has been held on September 13 and one month from the exam date is October 12-13, 2020.
So What is Actual NEET 2020 Result Date? – Factors That Affect NEET Result Date
Now, if we consider all the factors then it is more likely that the result of NEET 2020 will be out in the 1st week of October. This is because:
- As per the news reports, the answer key was to release on September 29 and result on October 12. However, NTA released the answer key earlier, on September 27. So, there are high chances result will also be announced earlier too.
- Last year, the result of NEET was delayed because the exam was canceled in Odisha due to Cyclone Fani. Hence, NTA has to re-conduct it in on May 20, 2020.
- The admission session has been delayed already due to COVID pandemic and NTA will not delay it any further.
This year, the exam has been delayed due to the pandemic but not has not been postponed or held again. Hence, it is more likely that NTA will announced NEET 2020 result in the 1st week of October.

NEET 2020 Result Time
The result of NEET 2020 was announced at 3:15 pm last time. However, this year, NTA announced JEE Main result around 11.00 pm. So, NTA can announced result any time.However, the most expected time for release of NEET 2020 result are:
Between 1.00 am to 12.00 noon.
Between 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm.
After 10.030 pm to 11.30 pm.
How to Check NEET 2020 Result?
The result for NEET UG 2020 entrance exam is released by online mode only. NO hard copy of the scorecard is sent to the candidates via post. To check your result, simply follow the instructions as provided below.

Step 2: Next, the candidates have to log in using their roll number and password.

Step 3: Click on the “Submit” button and in the next screen, your result will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Download it and take a print out of it for future reference.
How is NEET 2020 Result Prepared?
NEET 2020 raw marks are calculated first if all using the marking scheme of the exam. For each correct answer, candidates get 4 marks and for each wrong one, 1 mark is deducted. These raw marks are then used to calculate the percentile score. Based on the total percentile score and raw mars out of 720, the rank list is prepared for All India Quota (AQ) seats.
The scorecard of NEET 2020 will have the percentile score of the candidates in all 3 sections and also the overall percentile score and raw score.
Apart from that the scorecard will also have cutoff marks and percentile to qualify for AIQ seats. For All India Quota seats, 15% seats are available. Rest are distributed among the states.
