NTA had provided two separate correction windows. First the form correction window was for fields in the form (that did not include category), and then category correction is opened. Candidates can edit category online from the link below.

NEET 2022 Category Correction
Why has NTA provided category correction?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in receipt of various representations from the candidates to provide the facility for correction/change of Category in the Online Application Form of for National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test [NEET (UG)] – 2022. Therefore, in continuation of the Public Notice dated 24 May 2022, it has been decided to provide another opportunity to the candidates to correct/change their Category themselves in their respective Online Application Forms for NEET (UG) – 2022.
Who can edit category in NEET 2022 Category Correction?
The candidates, who had not been able to mention their actual Category correctly while filling up the Online Application Form, by mistake or due to non-availability of Category Certificate, may avail the opportunity as mentioned above, to mention their actual Category themselves in their respective Online Application Forms for NEET (UG) – 2022 and also upload the scanned copy of the Certificate.
The candidates, who may not have been able to obtain Category Certificate from the Competent Authority, may upload a Self-Declaration in the format prescribed at Annexure-1.
Fee for NEET 2022 Category Correction
The additional fee (wherever applicable) shall be paid by the candidate concerned either through Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI and PAYTM. Since it is a one-time facility extended to the candidates to avoid any hardships to them, the candidates are informed to do the correction very carefully, as no further chance for correction will be given to the candidates. Please note that the final correction shall be taken into account only after payment of an additional fee wherever required (e.g. change of category from SC or ST to General or OBCNCL to General or EWS to General).

How to Correct Details in NEET 2022 Application Form?
NEET 2022 Application form can be corrected by logging in at neet.nta.nic.in. only during the form correction window. The steps to edit NEET application form are as follows:
Step 1: Click on the link above within the NEET 2022 Correction window.
Step 2: NEET Login portal would open. Enter NEET Application Number, and Password.
Step 3: Candidate’s dashboard would open, and if candidate has logged in during NEET correction window, an option to edit/correct application form would be available. Choose this option to modify NEET application form.

NEET 2022 Correction Window (first window opened before category correction)
Form correction window was opened on 24 May 2022. The last date for making corrections in NEET 2022 Application Form was 27 May upto 9:00 PM. NEET 2022 applicants could make corrections in their application form by logging into neet.nta.nic.in. It is to be remembered that candidates cannot change Mobile Number, Email Address, Permanent Address, Correspondence Address, and Nationality in their NEET application form.
NEET 2022 Form Correction is a ONE TIME facility, meaning that candidates can edit the form ONLY ONCE. NO fees would be charged from the candidates for NEET form corrections, except for the fees levied on changing Gender, Category, or PwD. Candidates have to use NEET Login, during the given window, for corrections.
– Applications of candidates submitting incomplete OR false information will be rejected without any further notice.
What CAN NOT be Corrected/Edited during NEET 2022 Application Form Correction Window
Candidates would not be able to change the following details in their NEET 2022 Application Form:
- Registered Mobile Number
- Registered Email Address
- Given Permanent Address
- Given Correspondence Address
- Candidate’s Nationality
Conditional Corrections during NEET 2022 Application Form Correction Window
Few changes in NEET 2022 depend upon fulfillment of certain conditions, they are as follows:
- Only candidates whose AADHAT has NOT been verified CAN edit their Gender, Date of Birth, and Gender.
- Candidate can change ONY ONE of their Father’s Name, and Mother’s Name
- If the candidate is changing their Father’s Name/Mother’s Name, they CAN NOT change their Photograph/Signature.
- If the candidate is changing their Photo/Signature, they CAN NOT change their Father’s Name/Mother’s Name.
- Candidate can change ANY ONE – either change Category OR re-upload Category Certificate and not both.
- Candidate can change ANY ONE – either change Sub- category OR re-upload Sub-category Certificate and not both.
Document Upload Guideline for NEET 2022 Correction Window
Candidates should re-check the images they have uploaded during NEET 2022 Application form for appropriation (as per NEET Guidelines).
If the candidate is changing their Photo/Signature, they CAN NOT change their Father’s Name/Mother’s Name, and vice-versa.
- The photographs must be taken on or after 01.01.2022 preferably indicating clearly the name of the candidate along with the date of taking the photograph.
- Photographs should not be with cap or goggles.
- The focus needs to be on the face (80% face overage, ears clearly visible, white background)
- Spectacles are allowed only if being used regularly.
- Polaroid and Computer-generated photos are not acceptable.
- Candidates are advised to keep 6 to 8 passport size and 4 to 6 Post Card size (4”X6”) colour photographs with white backgrounds.
