His father Sanjay Raval is a physician and his mother Kanan Raval a yoga teacher. His mother taught him Mathematics up to Class 10 and looked after his food, sleep and mood through his preparation.
How did Raval Vedant prepare for JEE Main?
He worked steadily for three years: “Daily 7 to 8 hrs since last 3 yrs. Regular and sincere reading. Conceptual learning, Doubt clearance and solving institute exam papers.”
- He did his coaching homework first, then revised what had been taught that day.
- He treated school and coaching as two halves of one plan that strengthened each other.
- When tired, he talked to his parents until he felt relaxed, then went back to work.
- Coaching, he said, helps because institutes have long experience and good material for exams like JEE.

In 2017, the top score was a perfect 360 by Kalpit Veerwal. Scores now are out of 300, so 2017 marks cannot be compared directly.
