Parth Kothari from Maharshtra has secured All India Rank 11 in JEE Main exam in the year 2014. It was not surprising, the boy has already earned laurels for topping board exams in the state. This JEE Main topper had scored 331 in the JEE exam, and had 95.69% in boards. His overall normalized score came out to be 319. Parth has also secured AIR 458 in JEE Advanced exam and will be joining IIT Bombay for Dual Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Parth was a student of Pace Junior College in Maharashtra, and this Andheri boy has always dreamed of joining the IITs. His dream finally came true with the IIT JEE results. Like his father who is a chemical engineer, he too always wanted to be one.
Another achievement of this JEE Topper is his excellent performance in International Olympiads. His parents are proud of him, and seeing him top in boards as well as JEE was a pleasant surprise. Parth had scored 100/100 in Maths paper in his HSC boards.

A very visible trend among JEE Main toppers is that most of them are high scorers in JEE Advanced as well. The first priority for most of these students is to join IITs. Even Parth will not be attending the JEE Main counselling. Even fewer will attend state engineering admission counsellings. Also, for almost all the high rankers in JEE, the top college choices are IIT Bombay and Delhi.
