JEE Main 360 out of 360 Kalpit Veerwal Shares Tips To Succeed

Kalpit Veerwal got All India Rank 1 in JEE Main in the year 2017. He is the first student in the history of JEE to score 100%. His scorecard reads 360 out of 360 in Joint Entrance Examination Main. He also bagged AIR 109 in JEE Advanced 2017. Kalpit has gone on to join IIT Bombay to pursue B.Tech Computer Science. A humble student who does not deny that it was all hard work that led to success, shares his success tips for future aspirants of JEE. Here is his story, in his own words.

If you have been preparing for JEE entrance exam, then no doubt you have an idea what it takes to reach your goal. Investing 18-20 hours of your day studying is not everyone’s cup of tea. You are often tempted to go easy on yourself but that is not the trait of a hardworking student. It takes months/years to practice and achieve a set goal. And if your aim is to get Rank 1, then there is no room for leniency. This is something that Kalpit Veerwal understood.

Nobody in his family is an iitian but his brother was his role model as he wanted to excel him. He has created history by scoring 360/360 marks.

About His Family

Kalpit belongs to a middle-class family. “My mother Pushpa Veerwal is a school teacher and my father Pushkar Lal Veerwal is a male nurse at Udaipur’s Maharana Bhupal Government Hospital. My brother is a final year MBBS student at AIIMS Jodhpur”.

“I studied from MDS Public School in Udaipur. Director of institute Dr. Shailendra Somani sir and Principal Mrs Nidhi Maheshwari always treated me like their son. I did my coaching from Resonance Udaipur. My teachers there Upendra Singh Shekhawat and Jambu Jain sir from chemistry, Ravi Ranjan sir from physics and Nitin Sohane sir from maths is the best team any student can get for preparation of IIT JEE.”

Devote equal time to every subject. Clear your doubts and do not to skip school.

Preparation Strategy

I was studying at resonance Udaipur since 8th class but I started preparing for my 11th class for JEE.

I studied 5-6 hrs daily and more on weekends.

I gave equal time to every subject, there were topics not subjects which were difficult and my teacher helped me in clearing them out.

For aspiring JEE students I will say start preparing as if you love studies and not like it is a burden. Just work hard and you will achieve success.

Wise Words

I used to study in a very focused way in the class. I ensured that I study and solve the notes given by my teachers on a regular basis. Moreover, I was very consistent and regular at my studies. I didn’t waste time in other activities.
